this is running Mango and it has a password lock on it that my daughter set..she cannot remember what the password code is and consequently I cannot get in so that I am able to do a Factory Default reset on it through the software.

I have searched the net and have tried all of the possible key sequences to try and get to a configuration page that is on many forums to get to a manual reset.

I am at and end..will it require me ringing Dell.
Will they have information that not available to the paying public.

Any help will be much appreciated

Press and hold down Camera + Volume down buttons and then press and hold the power button while keeping the other 2 buttons pressed.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Not sure if you have seen this thread or not. Not even sure if it applies to your situation but someone with a similar problem was able to start his phone without the SD card in and the phone would start without asking for a password. That might open the opportunity to perform a hard reset.

Cheers billgates,

I have done that, what that does is start up the screen that asks for the phone to pc connection..and tried it with the power and tried both volume keys held whilst powering up...

I think that the path is heading toward the Dell phone call..will let you know how it goes

when it asks for the phone to pc connection, try and connect it to your workstation where you have the zune software installed.
