Can someone help me with getting my SP5 to send and receive MMS messages, I can send and receive email via GPRS perfectly also SMS messages....everything except MMS!

I found the entry below on an earlier forum but I don't know how to change the WAP setting

Fixed it by pure fluke - for everyone else out there you need to have your MMSC set to Wap version 1.2 for pxt to work properly

Any directions please??

These are the settings at the moment

 Internet: automatic
Work: automatic
WAP: automatic
Secure WAP: automatic
GPRS 1 VF GPRS = Connects to The Internet, Access Point www.vodafone.net.nz2 VODA PXT = Connects to Secure WAP Network, Access Point live.vodafone.com

I tried to send an MMS and the phone displays "finished" immediately

Have you sent a MMS before with this SIM card in another phone? Just to make sure your account can do it?

Hmmm. They should all be there. Checn the right soft key button, you should have menu options for that.

These are what I get.

Start / Settings / Connections...(Beam, Bluetooth, Dial-up, GPRS, Proxy, VPN, Wi-Fi Settings)

If I tap GPRS i get 1. VF GPRS 2. Voda PXT

VF GPRS has options Connects to (The Internet)
Access point (www.vodafone.net.nz)
User Name (blank)
password (blank)
Primary DNS (0.0.0.0)
Secondary DNS (0.0.0.0)
IP Address (blank)

Voda PXT has options
Connects to (Secure WAP Network)
Access Point (live.vodafone.com)
User name (blank)
password (blank)
Primary DNS 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS 0.0.0.0
IP Address (pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend)

does this help?

Start | Settings | More | Data Connections

Internet: automatic
Work: automatic
WAP: automatic
Secure WAP: automatic
WAP Proxy: automatic
MMS: Voda MMS

Menu | Edit Connections | GPRS Connections

1 Internet, Connects to The Internet, Access Point www.vodafone.net.nz

2 Voda MMS, Connects to MMS Network, Access Point live.vodafone.com

Start | MMS Settings

Connect via MMS Network

Menu | MMSC Settings

It shouldn't be there at all. The rest seems ok.

Well done then! So the configuration is the same as the MPx220 then.

Good to know it's working now.
