I have a Verizon XV6700 that I have installed Delorme Street Atlas Handheld 06 on.  I have a Earthmate Blue Logger GPS.  My phone can recognize the GPS, but it can only create the COM0 when I need it to create COM1 as that is all the Delorme product recognizes.  Any help getting this product to work is appreciated.

There seems to be quite a bit of info at the link below:

I have the Apache, which is the same model as yours, and have no problem pairing with a Bluetooth GPS. I believe its configuration is corrupted somehow. I suggest you make sure your data is synchronised, and perform a hard reset. Delete the partnership from ActiveSync on your PC recreate it.

After this the PIM data is automatically restored, and you will have to reinstall other software.

I didn't really change anything and it just all of the sudden let me create a COM port that Street Atlas recognized and now it works.  I have some other issues with this phone like the notification of calendar events does not make a sound or vibrate, but it does light up.  Handy if you happen to be looking directly at the phone when the reminder is due, but not so good if it is in your pocket.  I might have to go to Verizon unless someone has a solution for that as well.

Strange... But if it worked...

As for the notification, check Start | Settings | Sounds and Notifications | Notifications and look at the event list for Reminders. There you will see if the Pocket PC is configured to sound and alarm or not, display the reminder or simply flash the led.
