Today I stumbled across Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 which has just been released. It has received widespread acclaim. I have never heard of it or its predecessor and this is a pleasant surprise. I’m about 2/3 through Demon’s Souls but at my rate of progress it may be six weeks before I finish it. Once that’s done, I think KCD2 will be my next stop.

I’m pleased to see that it’s available on physical disc - my definite preference.

I just had a look. I don't prefer first person RPG's like this one, esp with the combat, I am definitely more the third person view preference.

I probably need to go back and play Baldurs Gate 3. I got so far and then things just didn't make sense.

I really didn't like you could naturally explore and end up in a situation you were wildly unprepared and underleveled for.

M/player - PUBG and LOTR:Return to Moria

Sadly the killed PUBG in Aus/NZ when the dropped the Australian server last year.

Yeah, its annoying but we're managing to have fun with it anyway. Did suggest Fortnite as alternative but we all found it WAY too easy :D

Completed Spider-Man 2 on PS5 at the end of last year and had thoroughly enjoyed it. Not the hardest game I've ever played, but great story and some very cinematic set-pieces. I hope they keep up the standard with the planned Wolverine game.

After that, I picked up Alan Wake (first one) on the PS sale. Very old-school survival horror, with a big influence from Stephen King and a bit of a Silent Hill vibe. Liked it enough that I'll check out the sequel at some point.

I've just started on Jedi Survivor. I enjoyed Fallen Order and this is more of the same, on a bigger scale. A little glitchy in parts, with a couple of crashes. Looks great though. There was an early 'optional' boss that kicked my backside (I won't spoiler it).

On PC I spent a lot of time on the original Baldur's Gate game, for a real retro-feel. Once I got used to the UI, I really got into it (enough to purchase the DLC and BG2 in the Steam sale). It reminded me of playing the OG Fallout 1 & 2.

I picked up Somerville in the Steam sale, too, because I loved Limbo and Inside. It doesn't hit the heights of those 2 games and is a bit frustrating in parts (need to stand in an exact spot to interact with objects). Story was a bit obscure, but I did like the art style and atmosphere in parts. The reviews were a little harsh, but OK if you want a fairly short game to play.

For a change of pace, I've just started The Forest on PC. An odd mix of survival/resource gathering and survival horror. It doesn't too much hand-holding, so takes a little while to work out the mechanics of the game. Will probably head back to (old school) Baldur's Gate after that.

Last night I finally finished FF7 Remake, 33 hours. Would have been a bit faster had I not sunk 580 hours into Wreckfest haha.

Want to go back and finish Last of Us remastered next and then play LOU 2 as I have the disc at home that I haven't even opened

Mrs Handle and I are about to start Split Fiction. We enjoyed A Way Out and absolutely loved It Takes Two so we are really excited for this one.

They are all split screen co-op linear story based games and a heap of fun.

We started last week.  It's pretty good, but keep in mind each player can independently change the level of difficulty....if you know you know.

We played for a few hours last night and had a great time. The Farmlife minigame was pretty great.

One of the things I like about the game is some of the mechanics would get tiresome if they were throughout the game but for a few minutes they are hilarious.

Pretty good Humble Bundle available right now!

I have a spare steam code for Control of anyone wants it? First to PM.

Also picked up a bunch of games in the Steam Spring Sale. Cyberpunk, Red Dead 2, Assassins Creed Mirage. Started Cyberpunk last night and played for about 4 hours straight! What a cool opening act. Yes, I am late to the party haha.

I'm getting too many games backlogged and the need for a less potato PC to play them on which GPU pricing isnt really helping with. I tried cyberpunk when it first came out on console because it looked awesom and was very disappointed in it, but I have not tried it since the latest gen consoles and all the patches.

I really liked control as a game, but its one of those ones where you get to a point you cant pass so put down, and then there is too much to remember when you go to pick it up again months later so it sits partially finished.

We finished it tonight, just before we go away on holiday.

It was great and the mechanics of the last chapter was pretty mind bending.

I also was incredibly impressed by the quality of the game. We played on PC and had one crash in around 16 hours of game play. It makes a nice change from a lot of the half finished crap that gets put out today.

I don't often replay games but I decided I would have a 2nd pass at The Last of Us Part 2 ahead of 2nd season of the TV series being aired on HBO later this month. This is the PS5 upgraded version since my first play was on PS4 Pro. Such an amazing game, looking forward to watching the second season shortly.

Anyone else playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

I’m playing on PS5 Pro. Very, very good game IMO. Beautifully made with huge attention to detail and realism. It’s a massive game. After nearly 200 hours, I’ve completed all side quests and tasks (plus a lot of misc stuff) and still have about 25% of the main story to go. So much fun.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
