sonic1989: that's what I thought too, but why the secrecy till now? specially when the release date isn't that far away. I mean look at the way MS way of communication and they seem too confident to the point they aren't holding any information back. Heck, they are even sending units to reviewers for first proper impression lol

Got people talking and a whole lot of bloggers and tech columnists all wondering... so probably a great marketing technique that's delivering at that!

I don't know man, as a customer who is interested, I would have loved some more information. specially as we get closer towards the release date.

You will! I trust you have pre-ordered cos if you're not impressed just cancel it and let someone else grab it.

But I wouldn't! Isn't it fun having something to look forward to instead of the constant unveiling before any release. Like how movie trailers give away the entire movie premise....

I've definitely got the PS5 pre-ordered and I do get the point of waiting to be surprised. it's just been too long now lol and not long to go for the release too😂

Why would I want to cancel my pre-order? I didn't say anything about canceling my pre-order 😂. I'm just not impressed at the extreme secrecy. like I understand if they want to keep things under wraps but there are times to do that and there are times when you need to start releasing some info. By now, I'm pretty sure alot of people want to know what's new in terms of exciting feature that we will be part of the Ui/Os. I believe we waited long enough 😂

You seemed upset, so thought you were evaluating whole purchase there!
I guess waiting another few weeks since it's been 'in the works' for 4 years doesn't really bother me. It does you obviously, maybe get on the sony forum and complain!

I'm looking forward to release of information in due course, but I can understand that the binge generation of "I want it now" might find waiting tough!

There's a developer forum you can attach to where some people have broken embargo. I won't post the link as it's probably against policy and to be honest I like the idea of waiting.

The guy might be slightly small, but that is an absolute unit of a console. Closed captions in English.

I too am very keen to see the new UI but not getting agitated about it.

I’m wondering whether Sony are delaying the reveal because when it’s revealed it’s likely to further stoke demand - and they don’t necessarily want that because they know they’re going to be unable to meet demand at the outset as it is.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Extremely interesting - thanks. Man, that thing is a monster when you see it like that - and the scale of the fan and the heat sink are incredible. Good to finally see how the stand works in both vertical and horizontal orientation.

Now we can see how Sony will be easily able to offer the cover trim panels in colours other than white - for owners to change at home. I bet there will be a big after-market in wraps to change panel colours too.

I must admit, I like the PS5's design a lot more than the Xbox Series X. If it wasn't for Microsoft's eco-system, I might have jumped ship on looks alone.

The engineering is very Japanese and it looks less like the Xbox's HTPC design and more like a "console", if that makes sense.
