If you could offer NZ based seedboxes/servers at kimsufi type prices, I'd love you longtime.

For instance  2 core, 4 thread, 4gb ram, 1tb HDD, 100mb/sec, aprox NZD$15 a month.

Too right. With $15from kimsufi you get little to no support. Junk network (external)
A vps starting at $10 per GB of ram would be good. Make sure you block the port 25565.

I think it's very early days to even think you might get to do it, it's already not worked for ON3/GetSome who had the existing hosting partner/infrastructure/experience.

why would you even want a seedbox in NZ?

serves no bonus apart from being distant from most swarms, which would be a huge negative if your attempting to do any racing at all.

if its for your speed to the box, then you probably need to look at your providers and work out why it is that your not able to get full speed.

with decent connectivity, window scaling and such, single threads to NL should be no problem in maxing out your line.

as for ON3, there was a fair few changes that contributed to their downfall..

i personally support having game servers back in NZ, with the price of AUS based ones, everyone has moved over that way..

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

We are now in talks with EA Games as well as Dice.

Servers will be hosted in Auckland, that is all i can give you at this stage.

As said cannot promise anything and not sure how far others have got with Dice but fingers crossed.

Would you also be looking at renting BF4 servers to others?  There are a few 'NZ' servers based in Aus.

Good question!

At this stage it will be a publicly available server.

If we get as far as able to host one we will look into that at a later stage but unlikely straight away.

If they wouldn't want ON3 who were committed to something like 15-20 server instances at launch then I really don't think they will give a hoot about a smaller amount, even this long after release.
