2 years development time is the time it takes to come to grips with the architecture, as demonstrated by the PS2. You agreed with me, yet wrote it off with no evidence behind you.
Not trying to knock your argument at all, but do you think you could give us a bit more info regarding your point of view and how it's irrelevant?
The evidence is clearly stated when i compared GFX architecture of today to two years ago, You could even compare CPUs to two years ago and see a major difference without game developers being requiring to take upto 2 years to use it to its fullest potental, the 8800 is a prime example when it was released it didn't take very long for game developers to fully use it to the best of its ability and as for the bold thing i couldn't take it off have no idea why? and also from my point of view my ENTIRE comment is true.
At the end of the day you were saying how awful DC's graphics when compared to other consumer market consoles of the same era in which you my friend are totally wrong, ha you even admitted it with your agreement of DC being Elite for it's time.
I think his definition of 'era' and your definition vary somewhat.
Remember that comparing a GPU from now to a GPU of two years ago is NOT the same as comparing architecture in a console.
Why?
GPU's are only part of the architecture when designing software or applications towards using them. The other parts are a few things, drivers, firmware, OS etc which would have been fairly similar 2 years ago as they are today. So, not everything needs to be relearned!
However when EVERYTHING is brand new, you need to learn your way around writing applications and games entirely from scratch!
If I'm not making sense at all, just slap me with a trout.
3nvy, you made a lot more sense than Kommisar did, next time Kommisar check you're spelling and grammar because your last few posts have been very poor and as a result they are quite difficult to understand. also when you wana quote someone use the quote button because i'm still trying to work out where you got my quote from.
I fully understand you so theres no no need for a trout, Whale maybe? Sure everything is new but to my knowledge game developers get there hands on the SDK far before the console is actually released, I know its not a SDK but whatever is smiliar in nature im sure you know what i mean.
not every developer would get their hands on it before console release and there's no way they will learn to fuilly utilise it before the console even comes out. in fact i'll add no way in hell.
Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Did i say "every" developer, NO i said developers, of course Sony isn't just going to give out the SDK to every Tom Dick & Harry otherwise the homebrew scene would be though the roof, But im fairly sure that if a well known\successful development group wants to start developing for a brand new console they will be more then happy to give out the right development tools as it would mean more games avalible during the release date.
you completely missed the point of my comment, it wasn't to say that you are wrong and not every developer gets the tools. it was to say that there's no way in hell that a developer could fully utilise a console to it's fullest potential before it's even released, let alone soon after it's release. something you alluded to earlier. jeeze now i wana slap you with a trout.
No im not you're fabricating this b\s all based on the fact you were wrong when you said the DC's graphics were crap compared to other console, Get over it.
lol calm it. what exactly am i fabricating by the way? and how am i wrong about its graphics? i'm right if you compare it to newer consoles and you're right if you compare it to older ones so just settle down. all i was trying to say is you alluded to the fact that it doesn't take long for developers to utilise a consoles full potential graphics-wise and that's not the case. it takes minimum 2 years for developers to max out graphics on any console that was released after 2000. including the dc and the ps2.
