I agree about the vehicle dynamics in GTA4, it really ruined the game for me. That was one of my favourite things about GTA3 SA

800hrs = 33 days - not that extreme once you add in multiplayer - I spent way too much time online in it :)
Umm that's 33 days 24 hours a day. In reality even if you were unemployed, had no kids or a SO, you'd struggle to get much more than 12 hours a day surely?

I'm sure it wasn't 33 days in a row, lol
GTA Online is HUGELY popular, hence there's been no new GTA since it came out...they're making a mint from it. Doesn't surprise me that people have spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours playing it over the years. I spent about 200 hours playing Assassin's Creed Origins, and that didn't include online at all.

Wow. Well, obviously, I know it wasn't 33 days in a row. I tried online GTA, it did nothing for me, but then I didn't love the ending of GTAV so I wasn't really that into completing all the little side missions.
I may have another go at some stage soon.

Over 5 years though......

eracode: Yep - really looking forward to it. Have been following the news, trailers and leaks ever since it was first announced. Loved the last one and GTA IV and V - bought my PS4 specifically to play GTA V three years ago.
Correction: Just realised I didn’t buy the PS4 three years ago to play GTA5 (which was released in 2013) - I bought it to play Fallout 4, which was released in Nov 2015. I must have been playing GTA5 on the PS3.

Thank God you clarified. I have been up for 2 days straight with worry about it! :)

Mr Pedantic - that’s me.
I guess my point is FO4 was brilliant too - there’s some great games out there and even in my late-60’s I can look forward to and enjoy playing them.
I was just teasing you :)
FO4 was the only Fallout I enjoyed, but it just couldn't hold my interest compared to other games that came out after it or around the same time. I was enjoying it..I am very much wanting to try the latest and greatest, and it often means I play a game then leave it and come back a couple of years later and finish it. I find it hard when I do this, as you are fighting powerful enemies but can't recall the controls or the right way to handle things.

Of course - I knew you were just winding me up.
Agree with what you’re saying about coming back to games. I found The Witcher 3 to be a great game - but very complicated control-wise. Haven’t played it for about a year and want to get back into it - haven’t finished by a long shot - but re-doing the learning-curve is putting me off a bit.

Funny you say that, I am in exactly the same position.
Not to sound patronising, so don't take it this way, but I really like the fact you are a little older and still gaming. It's not often I see that. Gives me hope for my retirement which I hope is a reasonably long way away still :)
My Grandfather learned to use his first computer at 83 years old. I had a LOT of respect for the man well before that, but it grew somewhat seeing him learn it. It was fantastic bonding time as well.

Took the words straight from my keyboard!
I don't know why but I think it came out a month prior to the launch of the current gen consoles and released on PS3 and Xbox 360, then it took a few months to come out on PS4/One and then a year later on PC I think..
