Ended up getting the EVGA Supanova 750w G5 as the one I wanted (Corsair RM750x) was sold out during black friday sale.

I was just surprised that the EVGA supanova 550w G2 failed so early since i've only had it for 2 years. It was only gaming when it crashes then after a few months (2 weeks ago) it started crashing when I was watching youtube etc.

Now looking as how I can use my warranty for the failing EVGA 550w lol

One of the big problems is, the last time I checked the only company that acually makes their own PSU's is Seasonic. Everyone else outsources to OEM's, and quite often different OEM's  for different ranges/models/generations. E.g. "EVGA" will be made any of half a dozen companies depending on how much it cost and when you brought it. It might actually be designed by brand, or modified from the OEM's standard platforms, or it might just be a rebadge of the OEMs model, especially at the lower end. It makes it very hard to ever trust a PSU based on the brand name (unless it's SeaSonic)

any temp monitoring software? when my computer mysteriously crash during intensive game it turns out the CPU - not the "core" but some other part of it! - was overheating (yes it was overclocked, but thought I'd put it out there). reduced the clock rate by 0.1 fixed it. it was fine for a few years - but i can't be bothered reapplying thermal paste, 0.1 reduction was the easier fix lol

When It was crashing I had HWinfo64 running and all thermals were fine. I also undervolted my CPU to help if it was a thermal/power delivery problem and it was ok for a day or 2 and the crashing came back.
