I went 'what the actual ..' for a second before I remembered there is a profile option to not display any signatures. I really hope he has that ticked lol.

Flight sim can run in lower settings on fairly modest hardware. I've only got an i5 3570k and a Radeon Rx 570 4gb GPU and it runs on medium, not great but it runs. Honestly I would say that the CPU side needs an upgrade as my frame drop problems seem to be down to that.

If you are on the fence about how much use you'd really get from a console or pc I wouldn't blow your budget straight away. Right now flight sim is pc only and cyberpunk works better on pc, if you are happy to play at 1080p resolution a Ryzen 3300x or 3600 would be fine, pair it with a low to mid range or serving hand GPU and you can get started. If you get bitten by the bug you can always upgrade the GPU to the new rtx 30 series and see a huge performance boost. But if you can wait I'd say you will get a much better visual experience to the dollar waiting for the series X version, no way you could get 4k flight sim on an $800 pc.

As others said though, gamepass on both is a great way to dip your toe in. You can get the $1 intro offer to try the game and lots of others on your hardware. I don't play flight sim enough to warrant the RRP but as part of game pass I'm happy to dabble in a relaxing scenic flight every so often.

I have settings basically maxed out (ultra) and then a few tweaks here and there because I read something somewhere at somepoint.

If you can afford it getting yourself some Xbox live gold and converting it to game pass ultimate is fantastic value. You can convert up to 3 years of live to gamepass for $1 bringing the sub price right down to $90 a year if you use prepaid live codes, cheaper if you don't mind using overseas codes and a VPN. For the price of 1 new game a year you'll get your money's worth, flight sim will be included when it launches later in the year along with all first party exclusive titles.
