I spent way too long writing on the windows and throwing bottles around the opening apartment, before I even started "the game"!

When they added the liquid shader to the bottle, just messing around with the liquids takes up a chunk of time.

The joys of VR is performing the utterly mundane activities that are normally done for you in a traditional shooter.

Well stuck to it and got it all done. The gnome achievement in Ep2 wasn't that bad apart from the vehicle section but the Neighbourhood Watch one where you can't let any buildings get blown up up was more of a pain in the butt despite being much shorter overall.

Have picked up HL2 on Steam for the princely sum of $1.47. Hope it's worth it!

Are you able to share the link for $1.47? My Steam shows as $14.75 - which is still a great price.
