No, dont you dare post how good it is!!!  Dont wanna know until I have it myself... lalalalalalala, not listening, not reading, not viewing lalaalalalala Laughing

Popped into EB last night and asked them what sort of deal they could give me for trading in my PS2 setup for a PS3.... Id be lucky to get $50 for a PS2 with 2 mem cards, 10+ games etc.....   the guy said they only give $1 for PS2 controllers. Memory cards they give $8!

On a side note, they do have pre-owned Xbox's for $32 at the moment - pretty good for those needing a basic media box - chip it for a few dollars and youre away :)

Haha all I wanna know is if it's worth every dollar and cent!  I don't often buy games, I can't afford to be buying them all the time. Undecided

The xbox for $32 is pretty good but as for what they offered you for your PS2?  That's outrageous!  A dollar for a PS2 controller?  Picture what your handing over and getting in return? That's pretty much giving it away for that price - you couldn't even buy a scoop of chips for a dollar.

Just bought at JB HiFi for $96 - good price. I think The Warehouse have it at the same price.

Interesting that EB Games, three doors away from JB's, are selling it at the Rec Retail Price of $119.99 - 24 bucks more? EB has this business model that says "If you can prove that someone else is selling at a lower price, we will match it". They ring the other retailer while you are in the store to confirm the price and that it is in stock, then they match the price. I think this stinks - it's a pretty cynical approach and I won't deal with them on principle. If someone has it cheaper, I just go there.

I believe that Mighty Ape have the same approach as EB - used to be like that anyway.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Haha I would of said more then that - I would of called the guy a dreamer if he only offered me a dollar.

I had a similar story with EB games with a friend of mine - he got Forza 2 on Xbox 360 for Xmas one year but he already had it before hand, so he thought he would go down to EB games and get abit of cash as ya do.  The game was brand new and still in it's plastic seal.  Now I kid you not, what happened next was an absolute joke -  I was standing right next to my mate in the store and the guy behind the counter said "2 bucks mate".  I can not understand how he managed to keep a straight face and actually think we would hand over a BRAND new game for that price - plus it only just recently came out!  I said to the guy at EB you gotta be kidding us right?  He told me and my mate "no - we have too many copies of this game in our store and that's all we can offer I'm afraid".

We ended up leaving and my mate kept Forza 2 as a spare copy - but for the love of cheese 2 bucks for a brand new game is an insult.  I'm sure that the manual in the case would cost more than that to make..

I'm thinking about picking this up as I've heard really good things about it and it's trending quite high on Twitter too :)

Even if they give you $2 for it, what are they meant to do with it if they can't sell it?  They're out $2.  If they try to sell it for $100 (for example), they are basically saying there's a 2% chance of them selling it (ignoring expenses/profit margin).  That might be fair enough.  If you think you can do better, you should put it on trademe as xpd has done.  EB is not a charity.

How much are you selling as a package?  And if you were to sell sep - I am definitely keen to buy GT4, LOTR: Two Towers and all of the burnouts.
