When Unreal first came out the waterfall blew my mind.

TF2 would have to be the best value game I've ever bought, 2 years later and I'm still playing it almost every day, and they're still releasing updates for it, and I love the art style.

If you are a Modern Warfare 2 fan then you'll love Battlefield Bad Company 2 as it's arguably the most comprehensive FPS out there.

Old games? Diablo II, Age of Empires II, Titan Quest...

Counter Strike and Day of Defeat but can't find good servers these days.

Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2 are my currently favourites.

Waiting for Diablo III.

Newbie’s would definitely have to be Modern Warfare 2, KillZone 2, The Darkness and Resistance Fall of Man.

Oldies for me - Medal of Honor: Allied Assault! Half Life: Opposing Force, Half Life: Counter Strike & Ghost Recon!

Ghost Recon is possibly the greatest tactical FPS shooter of all time..

Well I'm gonna buck the trend and add a few that it seems no one has mentioned (either that or i miss read some hehe.

Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty World at War
Army of Two
Rainbow Six Vegas Two
Conflict Desert Storm (when it came out)

Now ones that have been mentioned I agree with most Mauricio stated
Left for Dead 2
Titan's Quest
Age of Empires 2 (& 3 wasn't too bad also)
Fear was good and enjoyed it but just never got round to finishing it.
Duke Nukem (Forever hehe not the game but Duke Nukem Rocks big time).
Doom
Goldeneye (N64)
and lastly Battlefield Bad Company 2 was just a lot better than Modern Warfare 2 imo.

Portal 1 sits in my top 5 single player games of all time, the combination of writing, game play and comedy come together beautifully. Some people complain that it's short but I think it's just right for the type of game that it is, any longer and it would have become too repetitive.
