teihoata: I'm thinking of trading in my ps3 for the xbox and its kinect, playstation move wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be.
On another note have you guys seen what it looks like in infrared?

I can understand why you don't want move. Who want's to hold a dildo while playing games?

My sister is getting a kinect and I am giving them an xbox 360 I got for buying a samsung tv - going to set up her facebook account on the xbox so all the lol videos/images get automatically uploaded Laughing

Best price I had seen was mighty ape as everyone else seemed to be doing it at $230 and they were doing $220. JB never advertises prices though, so they might match it

Mighty Ape sold out of preorder Kinect console bundles
Both the 250GB and 4GB versions

Still have the Kinect on it's own though

JB kinect console bundles also include a non-kinect racing game but no prices on web

I never touch Hype until its proven its worth, so until it can play A video game of Say Halo Caliber there is no worth in it. Sounds harsh but its true

I doubted if you will see core games like Halo or Gears of war on kinect for the next couple of years. Kinect is marketed towards casual gamers and people who don't even any game console. There is other cool stuff too like voice control and and gestures to control your xbox and movies/music.

Do whatever you want to do man.

yea all the lame games are kinect based.

kanes wrath, tiberium wars etc

I usually play core games. In fact i only really play Battlefield 1943 (last i checked i was 209th on the lederboards) but im defintily getting Kinect. It just seems like new technology or something. Makes me want it haha. Plus the reviews were not as negative as i thought they were gonna be. I think Kinect is gonna be cool.

I thought about waiting a year until there were more games and any bugs had been ironed out but decided at that price I'd rather pull the trigger now and have the cool new toy

While i agree the kinect is focused on causal games, this doesn't mean that core games can't have some sort of kinect functionality. so many people seem to think its all kinect or nothing. i would like to see a core game with some sort kinect functionality and still using the traditional controller.
