I know why now.....I mentioned it may kick a player joining the server after the mod and mod map are downloaded.

Lol if he thinks PB is worthless he has never played on a server with it turned off Surprised

No, no I have. And it's crap. But at the same time there still seems to be plenty of hackers not being picked up by PB. Wouldn't hackers be put off by the downloads to get into the server?

Buggered if I know? Perhaps it does put them off.

I agree that PB isn't picking them all up (I would say it is picking up 90%+ of hacking players, nothing detects 100%), but that is where the players on the serve will pick up on it and the admins will take care of the rest. Generally I find hackers will tip their hand when they are using one...I like to think after 16yrs of online gaming... I can pick up on an unusual something ingame (I know I can't detect all of em, but hackers haven't grief'd my COD4 playing experience anywhere near the point that I want to stop playing the game) . The only one I have hard determining is the guys that are sound whoring (which is perfectly legit I guess....and well if they don't mind losing their hearing...they can do it all they want).

Perhaps the guys hacking tend to stick to the non PB servers, for a couple of reasons-----they don't own the game and they like using their hack? I have joined COD4 servers without PB enabled (in error), get ingame..start dying in crazy ways,  realize I was on a non enabled PB server lol.

Oh how I long for the good old days on the internet when online game hacks did not even exists...i'll never forget the day in 1995 I figured out a guy must be cheating/hacking in Warcraft II somehow (turns out there was indeed a no fog of war hack).
