Hi guys...I have just put up a COD4 server with the FreezeTag mod and with mod maps on it. Hoping some of you gamers still playing COD4 are looking for something new to spice up your old COD4 addiction.

Been on here a couple of times, but no one ever on the server?

Might be the 50MB worth of downloads.. haha

I do find myself playing a lot of COD4 these days though. Mostly on the Games.on.net (I think)

Yeah we have changed it over to FFA HC for now. 3-4 map rotation.

For now Broadcast, Crossfire, Crash and Killhouse. Killhouse is set for 3 times..then the other maps.

I am going away for a week...FoW is mainly North American ..but with many players from around the world it seems. But mostly NA. I just happen to be one of the guys that has moved down to NZ.

Ohh sry..server has 24 max players. As for how busy...toughy it is slow, a work in progress ;)

Oh yep.

I prefer TDM with teams of 3-6 on Backlot, Crossfire, Overgrown, Ambush, Bloc and Vacant.

Not that keen on the rest of the maps, I find them pretty spammy.

Hi guys, server is indeed hosted (Hypernia Game Servers) in aussie (no game server hosting companies in NZ, that I know of). Server redirects for download of mod and mod maps is to file host in NZ. If you connect and find download slow.... perhaps there are 8 other people downloading the map. If it is really slow (12k slow), try shutting down the game and reconnect, not sure why this happens (perhaps a redirect issue not kicking over and the download is from the game host server), we may be looking at another file hosting page in the future. Most download redirect speeds should be in the area of 100k to 600k.

Couple of notes---
Best time to check the server out is approx 8pm (Auckland time), server has only been up for about 12 days now...players are starting to become aware of the server. North American version of FreezeTAg server has had 28-32 players a nightly playing this mode for over 2 years.Check it out ---- http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/208.167.248.188:28960/

After the mod and and a new map finish downloading you may encounter PB kicking< I don't know why this happens..but it just happens (have it happen to me all the time when playing on other mod servers). Just rejoining the game and the game works fine again.

Current mod maps in rotation:

mp_pripyat

mn_highrise

mp_blitz

mp_burgundy bulls

mp_whatif

mp_simpsons

some stock maps in rotation (eventually there will be no stock maps), 1 or 2 mod maps added every 7-10 days....eventually getting around 10 mod maps in rotation (there are about 744 mod maps to draw upon). If you download a map and then another map downloads, just means another map has started ingame.

Why not just turn punkbuster off? From what I've experienced it doesn't actually stop hackers these days :(

I am little confused...how did punkbuster and hackers come into this?

PB works and when it doesn't the players on the server become vary aware that a player is hacking. The admins are around to spec a sus player and kick em.

These new games without dedicated servers are crap to play on ...hackers are having a field day on em.
