Actually, I had a friend that bought from CD Wow, he said much of the same. Yes, they actually live up to the 5 day delivery by what I heard. Got his in 3 days.

JB or cdwow... mightyape are usually over priced whenever I look. fishpond, marbecks have the occasional deal. Real groovy is worth a look now and then.

As for hardware usually ebay and the occasional check on pricespy for local prices. Trademe is usually overpriced these days, use to get bargins but this is no longer the case.

If you guys want cheap games.

Check out www.nzgameshop.com

I use them for everything. Delivery is free worldwide, inside a week. And generally new releases are $30 cheaper.

Agree with JB and their service. Especially the guys in the tv/electronics department. Really friendly and good for a laugh too.

I went into the JB in bayfair, Tauranga.
I was after a DVD, I cant remember what it was now, but it was REALLY random, I couldn't work out which section it would be in. after looking for a couple of minutes i went up to the guy in the video/music section, told him what I was after and he was like 'I know that' and walked me straight too it and pulled it off the shelf, he knew exactly where it was!

+1 JB

I'm actually always surprised by the Warehouse's prices. Unfortunately not in a good way, never once have I browsed through their games and found what I would call a bargain.

Steam

Once you go digital distribution you never go back. My old fears about not having discs have proven unfounded with cheap portable hard drives to back up to.

And when steam has a sale it is really cheap. 5 USD for mass effect 1 and Eve online with one month included.

I placed an order for 2 x cds with them and it took 11 weeks for delivery and they didn't respond once to the 5 emails I sent about it!
