urban: Well I am at a loss...
Here's a copy + paste of what he is trying to get me to do.
"Please get the following ports opened:

1024-1124
18000
18120
18060
27900
28910
29900
UDP ports:

Ragnor: What ISP are you on and what modem do you have?
Are you're able to login to Origin and browse the store at all? Can you download/activate a demo like the Kingdoms of Amalur demo?
this is a slap in the face!
doublehell:
All connecting on either SSL port 443 or 12080. My guess is 12080 is a random port they use, the rest is done via SSL. If all else fails, maybe try opening 443 to origin.exe
Good luck!

How do I open a port to origin.exe?
I had enough trouble fumbling through windows firewall settings to open the ports to Mass Effect tm 3!

We're with Slingshot and our modem is a Dynalink RTA1025W
I'll give the Amalur download a go...

Were you able download/run a demo like Kingdoms ofr Amalur or a different game in Origin?
If so, Origin is probably working fine and it's likely a problem with your serial/key. Where did you buy ME3 from?
If not, forget about having to give yourself a static ip address and manually forward a dozen ports... just make sure UPNP is enabled in the modem/router.
I am in the process of acquiring a new cd key so, fingers crossed!!
urban: Playing? far from it!
What I should probably do is bring my desktop to a mates place who is on another ISP and see if I can authenticate my install.
I just can't understand why it would not authenticate at my end at all. Hardware firewall turned off, Software firewall off, Comodo off, even changed the port settings etc and still no luck.
