Is everyone on FB or Steam ? I'll start a group on one of those for the "casual dad gamers" :)

go ahead, i tend to sit 'invisible' on steam, but if you have a few keen for a game ill certainly be there. Totally a dad my child has developed into requiring an upgrade though...

I'm on Steam. I am on Facebook, but for work reasons, so I don't really want to join there if possible.

I recently bought the quake package off steam, all 3 plus two extra expansion packs.

Good value I think for $21. Strange how you can suddenly remember parts of maps you havent played for nearly 20 years..

[Bought the new doom for the multiplier for giggles when it first came out, Oh my disapointment.

I was however up at a lan recently, where we played Doom 3 in multiplayer (some Modification that was made, Actually pretty cool). the graphics were nothing like i remember! i swear it used to look so much better. But wow, that was laughs.

We ended up dying over and over, i swear it was set on impossible AI levels!

I have not touched the MP - I heard it was a disappointment so stayed away!

Single player felt very old school in terms of movement and mechanics which was actually quite refreshing.
