Damn server issues, as soon as I reached an area running 3 lures on PokeStops and found level 200+ characters

Watched a guy this morning deploy a lure at the pokestop outside my building and then get very frustrated when the servers crashed a few minutes later.

I can reach the pokestop from my desk, so every 5 minutes I can stock up on items.

Definitely not my sort of thing, but I've been suspicious since the last few days we've had lots of strangers hanging around outside our house.

So I've downloaded the app, and my suspicions were confirmed, there is a blimin gym right outside my house attracting weirdos. I can sit in the lounge at be at the gym. Really frustrating....go away weirdos!

Or you could play the game and troll them. Every time somebody takes it, you can take it straight back ;)

I love how much this game has made neckbeards get out and walk. I love the amount of cut through it has and the way you can walk around the streets and pick out other people playing the game.

Social media is just full of it. It's glorious.

However I dont know how long it will stay popular for... I think there will be a kind of diminishing return where chasing the second half of the pokemon will be too much work, but in the mean time, it's great.

I think its great for that reason also. Hopefully it might spawn a new genre of activity based phone games.

For those of you who don't actually know this is nianticlabs's second augmented reality game..

So once the kids (and wannabe kids) get sick of chancing pokemon they can always hack some portals on Ingress...

Woohoo! Pokestop outside work, I am going to go out for a Poke break every time a smoker goes for a cigarette!

Wonder if my habit will be considered worse than theirs...

I can "just" hit a PokeStop while at my desk. However even while connected to a charger I am slowly draining my battery - ie the wall current is not enough to run the game and charge at the same time.

Last night I went to Dunedin Wharf and managed to find that lures had already been placed so I deployed a lucky egg and incense and went to town catching all the new Pokemon that suddenly appeared, and also evolved a stack of Pokemon I had waiting. Went from Level 9 to Level 12 in that window ..

I have also managed to hatch an egg this morning while sitting at my desk - it only had 300 odd meters to go, so I guess GPS crawl was enough ..

Wow, nice work, I've manage to get to level 10 without actually battling at a gym yet. My bag is completely full though.

I predict a sudden surge in sales of portable recharging packs. I took two with me on a hunt around our neighbourhood yesterday. Drained about 80% of my battery in 2 hours, between playing the game and hot-spotting to my son's iPad so he could play too.

Yep. I went to JB on and asked where hey were. The lady said something like "Your Pokemon Battery recharges are over there". She knew exactly what I was there for. There was even a Pokemon themed sign above the Power banks haha

I installed it.....started....and then thought "This could waste my day like nothing else I can think of"...and uninstalled it.

Yes, I am a time-coward.

My boy and I are off to the beach to look for water Pokemon shortly. This is the kid who, last school holidays, didn't want to leave the house or get off his computer. Now he wants to go all over the place and do lots of walking. That alone is priceless. As a work-from home person, I'm also benefitting from the extra fresh air and exercise (although productivity is down!).
