My son has been playing with Pokémon Go, and I see a few others around here are too - even at down on a -5 frost. It must be a pretty special game?

I always though Pokémon was for the Tweenagers, but apparently the youngsters who played it in the noughties are still keen on it 15 years later...

I keep seeing the #pokemongo hashtag on Twitter, and all I can see is this guy:

And I figure poking him is a bad idea...

Yes both my kids have just started.

Was surprised when my wife told me they had gone down to the local park early this morning when it was still freezing cold!

This forty-somethinger is playing it. Took my mum, sister and niece and nephew for walks at various times over the weekend.

Walked over 16km yesterday. My blood pressure will appreciate it.

I was playing the Blue edition on Gameboy in 1996 and enjoying the reboot on my phone 20 years later :)

Last night I conquered a local gym, was surprised to wake up this morning to find someone had already toppled my position.

Based on what I'm reading/seeing I think the answer is "Everyone" :-)

Having played a lot of Ingress in the past I'm on the verge of giving it a go.

Will be interesting to see if battery drain is a problem, my iphone 5 would be drained in an hour playing Ingress, not to mention my mobile data plan getting hammered.

The new 1GB data packs are out just in time for people.  used to play Ingress a bit, but found the data usage too high for a 500mb allowance.

Counted around 90% people playing it, the other 9% are talking about those playing it, while the 1% are asking "what a Pokémon"

I honestly just saw around 50 people at a Pokéstop on Courtney place all on their phones. There is also 2 people on their phones walking beside me playing it.

I think the 90% is a fair number based on today. I might fire up my Ingress account again since that's retro now.

Started playing along with my son on the weekend. Just been to a local park and saw the most unlikely mixture of people there all playing it. Got my virtual bottom soundly kicked in a gym battle and now several of my Pokemon are looking very poorly indeed.

I was, until I came in this thread.

Now I know it's people walking around more glued to their phone than normal.

I think there should be some adjustment to the numbers to reflect the "who gives a ****" crowd.

(I only responded due to Mongo)

I love how much this game has made neckbeards get out and walk. I love the amount of cut through it has and the way you can walk around the streets and pick out other people playing the game.

Social media is just full of it. It's glorious.

However I dont know how long it will stay popular for... I think there will be a kind of diminishing return where chasing the second half of the pokemon will be too much work, but in the mean time, it's great.
