I tried playing COD Open BETA over the weekend, I just suck so much at FPS on console. I quit after 3 rounds 12 deaths 1 kill, 14 deaths 3 kills, 9 deaths 2 kills.
I just don't have the time to dedicate to become good enough that games like that aren't massively discouraging.
@psychosmiley yeah shelled out for the early access *ahem* I owe Quake much.
Latency typically not much more than 40ms, once ~200ms and could actually make out the rocket in detail as left RL, but that time others in game also apparently had big lag.
playing sonic mania, it is a lot of fun. I can see potential for replay-ability as there are many areas I haven't figure out how to get to.
This was also a first for me, I bought it on steam but didn't install it (game dev deserves the money), then downloaded and installed a pirated version. The official version contains Denuvo which I just cant let exist on my PC.
Playing The Last Guardian. The graphics are awesome. The gameplay starts quite slow. Hopefully, the challenges will increase further down the road.

I bought it after seeing rave reviews, wasn't that impressed, played for an hour, it's been sitting on my desk since.
Divinity Original Sin 2
I love this type of RPG, with turn based strategy and team etc. This one isn't for the faint hearted in my opinion, there isn't any hand holding. You can screw missions up pretty quick and there is no indication on what you have to do to complete a mission most of the time. So far I have just been aroud an issue exporing everything I can, talking to everyone and seem to solve some missions though without reason or understanding how or why. There are a dizzying array of options and choices that can be made in every regard. Hard to know what is right or wrong.

Got about 15 hours on it now and it is utterly brilliant. I felt the last one had potential, but it didn't quite grab me for some reason - not so here!
It can be brutally hard on occasion and the combat may seem "unfair" but there is usually a way forward if you think/regroup/exercise strong tactical skills and make full use of the staggering array of powers, abilities and combo's available.
As you alluded to - there is no "right or wrong" way - just *your* way which is both awesome and often a little intimidating. SO many paths have multiple solutions and talking to a friend who has it, there have been some parts of the early game where we have had pretty different experiences already.
Levels really matter here - if you are hitting encounters above your level, you can get into trouble real quick and more than 2 levels, you probably shouldn't be there at all...yet.
Make sure you get Pet Pal in your team and Teleport early on - both are useful and entertaining.

My main character has PetPal and I just got Teleport Gloves. Hopefully I get a grip on it soon, I am not loving it as much as I want to. I guess I like things to happen a little faster esp at the start. I like small rewards often.
Fortnites Battle Royale, its a very good and FREE online PVP game

I tried to play it, but it takes like 40 minutes to get from the lobby to the ground, then you die in like 1-2 minutes or less and start again. They need to significantly shorten the time from the air to the ground. Also initial weapon is pathetic.
I just started Forza 7; every race I wonder if my brakes are working as I can't seem to go around a corner unless I am doing 10km/h, at which point the AI players all pass me
If I try and play aggressively, all I do is crash at the next corner.
I think I will go back to Forza Horizon 2/3
Got a bit of a backlog currently.
Still working through the career in Dirt Rally along with using it for training for the real rally car in the garage.
Dirt 4 is sitting unopened as yet.
Dropped WRC6 in but found that it sucked big time compared to the promotions, though reviews appear to agree with my findings.
Just picked up Project Cars 2 and had a brief look. Very shiny.
Rock Band 4 still gets cranked up from time to time.
Lego Dimensions also still gets another world or level explored from time to time.
The downside of being a "grown up" is all the other things that need doing that get in the way of gaming.
From the creators of Myst, Riven, URU etc ...
PUBG is still my main game.
Also been playing a bit of Hearts of Iron 4, and just made a start on Divinity Original Sin 2 on the weekend.

Still hitting Overwatch, Unturned has gone quiet (think friends and I have played it to death now), started playing Fortnite Battle Royale - Im always in a game within a couple of mins, so not sure why people are saying 40+ mins to get in. Sure youve selected Oceanic servers ?
Kids have just spent real money on Roblox, so thats them quiet for the rest of the holidays......
