I'm kinda tempted to get the Series S just for gamepass. I'm definitely getting a PS5 as I much prefer PS exclusives but gamepass is pretty compelling.

I’ve got both, and had both for the previous generations ( back to original Xbox and ps1 ( I know original Xbox was more of a ps2 gen). Anyway, I’ve traditionally been Xbox all the way as my preferred console, but on this gen the haptic feedback on the ps5 controller has me using it as my go to console.

my son still defaults to Xbox however. And I’ve got to say that gamepass ultimate makes the Xbox very attractive so will probably end up drifting back to Xbox

Xbox was my "go to" last gen (I only had the PS4 for exclusives), but I'm going on a game-by-game basis this gen. That said, I have used the Series X more so far because of Game Pass Ultimate.

If you read through the various PS5/Xbox Series threads you'll see that the only info people have is when they randomly see that a store has stock and someone posts that update on here. Doesn't look like any of the big retailers have any PS5s right now. Series X was in stock at MightyApe the other day.

PS5 briefly came in stock on MightyApe yesterday.

There is an NZ facebook group that has setup an automatic notification system through the telegraph app. It notified me immediately yesterday and I was able to order one.

Something like page monitor in chrome would work but you need chrome open to keep an eye in it. Worth using if you have chrome open at work all day anyway as it can just ping pages however often you like and notify you of changes if it find them. Trouble is a lot of shops seemingly pulled product pages, so the series X isn't listed in Noel leeming, JB hi-fi and is hard to find in EB games so finding a page to monitor at all is step one.

I bought a 'spare' PS5 Disc Edition 2 days ago because a number of people had expressed interest but had repeatedly missed out due to not being able to get to the online store in time.
