Brunzy: I copied a link from here and tried worldle a few times .I didn’t get any boxes showing correct or incorrect letters, just something saying it was so many km’s away .
Where do you see the coloured squares?

The squares show up after the game, when you choose to share your result.

FYI I entered a word that is most definitely a word, but got the response that it is not in the wordlist.

I didn't enter a rude word, but it would seem there has been some "cleansing" of the word list.

Tomorrow I will share that word.

If I forget, someone please remind me.

I have a backup copy from before it got NYTimes-ified. Do you mind PMing me the word, and I'll see whether it works in that old one.

I had that one too! Must be the American influence. Quite a frustrating one today

I have a backup copy from before it got NYTimes-ified.

Which has apparently complicated things. It appears that NYTimes has also deleted one of the historical words, which means that even though I posted my score for #243 this morning, it's actually #242 if you're playing the censored version (I've still been using the original version, because the NYTimes version 'reset' and wiped my score history).

Edit: The removed word is "agora", "a public open space used for assemblies and markets". Why?!
