No worries, me too, I'm against gaming chairs due to really bad past experiences, but the reviews on these are really good so I am taking a chance on one.

These are not the crappy DX-Racer chairs :)

Has anyone had any issues upgrading to the Secretlab 5-year warranty?

It doesn't seem to like my order number.

Worked for me - I went through https://secretlab.co.nz/pages/redeem as I note the chair came with a card for the secretlab.co domain which doesn't work.

Anybody tested these against a premium corporate office chair like the Formway life, or anything from Herman Miller?

Badly overdue for a new chair, and was quite fond of the Formway life at my last employer. Good availability in the used market at about $320 (no arms). Secret lab is not available used, so would be looking at $689 for the fabric one.

@Scott3 Yes, we use those at work and IMO I find the Secret Lab chair much better for working and comfort especially with me being a taller person.

My current home office chair is killing my sholders as its a "cheap" warehouse stationary one and the back is attached via the arms. so I cannot get the chair close enough to my desk also the back is very reclined. So I am stretching my arm out to my mouse and keyboard.

I'm 6'5 and currently 140+kg. The Titan XL is looking like the best option after seeing Stu's reviews video on it.

Paying almost 1K for a chair without trying it though is a bit difficult. Though i did just spend $1400 on a new monitor this week.

Anyone here have the XL? How do you find it?

Looking online everyone seems to be in one of 2 camps. Its a great chair or its the worst chair ever its like sitting a brick.

A few reviews certainly mention needing it to be worn in a bit before becoming comfortable. Although most are about the PU leather, softweave fabric may be more comfortable.

Unfortunately the XL doesn’t really go on sale often, even the previous black friday and now christmas sale don’t have any notable discount compared to the Titan or Omega.

Have had the titan XL about a week and a half and liking it would say it is easily one of the sturdiest chairs I have owned.

Would agree that it does take a bit to break it in and get it adjusted just right but it doesn't take a massive amount of time for that to happen just not something that happens over night.

The only issue I am having with it is the massive ESD discharges from it which apparently is not that common but others have reported it and it is happening with mine. I will get massive zaps from the metal paddles on the arm rests but have also heard a zapping noise when the base of the chair has brushed up against some metal paneling on the wall.

So TIL that office chair ESD can have enough energy to disrupt monitor signalling if not shielded properly. Turns out this has been known since 1993 and comes up on occasion, more recently this year due to lockdowns and WFH.

I'm getting mine tomorrow (today), was really surprised that courier from Mainfreight called me asking when he could deliver and I said to him that it's to my work address which is closed tomorrow and he said he will deliver to my home address no problem which is 20km away.
