Wow that's a mature comment Xblock haha RROD hasn't really been much of a issue with the last two motherboard releases i've only known one person to even suffer RROD and that was pretty much their own stupidity.  This thread is about Red Dead not fanboy chat.  We can't help that the PS3 version is not as graphically as good as the xbox version i don't think anyone on GZ had anything to do with that so take it elsewhere like the PS3 forums somewhere where they may go oh look some dude in NZ is upset his PS3 Red Dead is not as good as his friends xbox version.

Both consoles are good  and have their strengths and weaknesses but if you wanna go fanboy over it.  Which console outta the two has sold more???  Sold More Games?? and is not last outta the top 3 next gen consoles????  PS3 is good (which i actually find hard to admit) but so is the 360 get over it and keep it on topic.

Haha that statement was all good and all and I'm not going fan-boy jtbthatsme, but honestly PlayStation has been round the longest, best controller, best features, best tech in the consoles themselves - yeah sure it hasn't sold as many units as the Wii and the 360 but I'd rather spend the extra coin and shout myself a Blu-Ray player/Game console/Media Player/Free online gaming/Full 1080P upscaling and best of all - best games :)

Now back to Red Dead lol

Yeah, I've owned both at the same time. I only sold my Xbox because it started getting a bit loud, I was going to buy a jasper Elite to replace it, but haven't yet.

It was great for a media centre though and games like Forza. The RDR graphical thing is honestly a big load of BS. Have a look at the video even at 720p I'm struggling to see much difference, ok so the XBox is sharper in some things, but that also shows how it struggles with anti aliasing, the power lines look square :)

You can't take too much in on the next gen consoles...because the Wii isn't next gen, it's previous gen hardware. So it's either PS3 or Xbox and according to VGChartz, PS3 will overtake Xbox in the next year or so and if you are wanting something that other people have, the PS3 in NZ/Australia/Europe/Japan is outselling the Xbox by a long shot. The Xbox is only selling more in US

I wish they'd just allow Xbox and PS3 to be friends online :( gap the bridge and maybe cut the gold membership on Xbox to maybe ... free?

Has anyone managed to get the BradyGames game guide for RDR? I don't mean the 32 page mini-guide that some pre-orderers may have got - I mean the Signature Series 340 page jobby. If so, where can it be obtained?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Haha yes Gavin good point but with today's games they are huge and the average gamer who's a full-time woker etc (like myself) might not have heaps of time to clock it.

But in saying though - when I get around to buying Red Dead I originally thought about using a guide for it but that just spoils the fun of seeing the game through your eyes for the first time :)

Hehe... I dont tend to use guides for quite some time in games... I fought my way through GTA games without one.....only had a look at one afterwards to fill in some gaps :)

Been watching some gameplay videos today on Youtube (the joys of being home sick :( ) and want the game more than ever now. Some amusing stuff in it.... such as being a villan and placing a hog tied woman on the railroad tracks....

Yeah I'm gonna try and avoid using game guides - ill just try my best to clock the game without one first time around.  But using one a second time round to fill in the gaps is a good idea - I did that with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Yes!  This game is just simply amsome - getting attacked by mountain lions is wicked sick! :)

Yeah getting attacked by a mountain lion is all good however getting attacked by another one you didn't see when you shot the first one isn't hehe.

Still trying to fugure out where to find the bears as i have in game achievement levels that require me to kill 5 bears and another to kill 5 mountain lions however each one requires me to kill at least one with a melee attack....... sounds like a plug for a Tui advert to me Yeah Right.
