Picked mine up from NL.  Wasn’t expecting it to be there as I didn’t get a collect email, but happy :).  Sitting next to my series X

I hadn't had the email either, but I mentioned the tweet from a few pages back about how you could pick up any time today. It took two staff members but they managed to find the order. And then my phone buzzed while she was getting it from the back room, with the 'come and get it' email 😁

Just wondering how many of you guys on here are now trying to sell these on trademe for over $2000.  There's a special place reserved for you somewhere, I'm sure of it!  😪

$2000!!

That's ridiculous but if you want to buy, I'd sell at that price. Doubt many wouldn't

Well credit to Courier Post - my PS5 has moved very quickly from “waiting for pickup” when I went to bed, though the black hole that is East Tamaki depot and is now out for delivery in West Auckland.

Clemens: Just got a tracking link from PBTech, so I guess it should get here by tomorrow. 🤞

Pb tech are just the worst. It's not that they don't have customer service, it's that they just don't care

I agree dispatching the device when others are receiving it is not ideal. But interestingly I’ve had a really bad customer experience with Noel Leeming only last week, that was only resolved by the store manager after I contacted Customer Care via email, then phone and then the store. Nobody was able or willing to help until I got to speak to the manager, who promptly resolved it.

Actually always had good experience with PBTech over the years, but I guess it can be a bit hit and miss.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll wait it out 🤣 It just riles me up a bit as one of the sellers has a photo of what looks like possibly 2 PS5's!

Buying to sell is scalping and unfair. But I think anyone would become a scalper for the right price. Just makes fiscal sense if you have a household budget at all.

By the way - JB Hifi, and Mighty Ape have apparently sold out, but Vodafone are releasing them at midday

Just got this little doozie of an email from JB....

Bugger indeed. I didn't get that email, but I get this confidence inspiring Order Confirmation email with zero items ordered:

I'm always torn about scalping because it's basic supply and demand and no one is forcing the buyer to buy at a higher price. It's basic economics.

I have a PS5 on pre-order, and am planning to pick it up today but my mate told me that it's possible to sell it at 2x the price.

Can tell you that it's tempting since I don't really have time to play with the new console probably until Xmas.

I have a newborn at home so also won't have a lot of time to play until next year.
I would even sell at cost to a genuine person who would use it but it's hard to know that it won't just be on sold for more.

If you are genuinely offering, I think

Sounds genuine and I am sure he would be completely grateful for the chance to get one for his kids pre xmas.

I'd love to take it off your hands for a reasonable price.  I'm certainly not looking to on sell it!  My boys and I are looking forward to playing on it!

No problem hadenkose,

I've PM'd the other guy but failing that will get in touch with you.
Sounds like a lot of people missed out on the pre-orders.

Cheers, I managed to secure one from MightyApe though. Dog woke me up at 6:03am, first thing I did was go to MA and pounced on it, a short while later they were all sold out. Then I checked my emails and found an automated email from 5:59am saying they were back in stock so my dog is a hero this morning for waking me four minutes after the orders opened.

Hope everyone else hoping to get hold of one is successful!
