Haha yes Gavin good point but with today's games they are huge and the average gamer who's a full-time woker etc (like myself) might not have heaps of time to clock it.
But in saying though - when I get around to buying Red Dead I originally thought about using a guide for it but that just spoils the fun of seeing the game through your eyes for the first time :)

Games are much smaller these days for campaign/single player. They seem to concentrate a lot more on the online factor to extend the playing I've found.

Sorry I should've been more defined - I ment to say 'sand-box' games are huge, the likes of the new GTA and Assassin's Creed etc have massive single player campaigns these days.

Yeah after spending countless nights and weekends on Fallout 3 and finally finishing it, I can say it's possibly the longest game I've ever played. The longest before that was probably the first of hte Command and Conquer series on my 486 :) those were the days
Does anyone know if RDR is in stock anywhere in Wellington? for the same price as the Warehouse? Have just found out:
Warehouse,
Dick Smith,
Noels
Bond and Bond
Down here have all sold out :( and judging by DSEs website, most places in Auckland/South Island are gone too :(
My mate needs it so he can jump on and join my posse :)
vinnieg: Haha, he'll have to wait till the weekend, he asked to borrow mine.....YEAH RIGHT!!!!
jtbthatsme: Wow that's a mature comment Xblock haha RROD hasn't really been much of a issue with the last two motherboard releases i've only known one person to even suffer RROD and that was pretty much their own stupidity. This thread is about Red Dead not fanboy chat. We can't help that the PS3 version is not as graphically as good as the xbox version i don't think anyone on GZ had anything to do with that so take it elsewhere like the PS3 forums somewhere where they may go oh look some dude in NZ is upset his PS3 Red Dead is not as good as his friends xbox version.settle chum i actually own an xbox and am getting sick of buying more of them ive only had one rrod ive had one stop reading discs and the other one had a tray that jammed shut ive had two wired headsets die and a controller that thought a headset was plugged in to it when there wasnt i dont even own a ps3 so i guess you would call me a xbox fanboy ever wonder why eb games only trade them in for 50 bucks because of the failure rate im just trying to warn people of the garbage machines they are !
Both consoles are good and have their strengths and weaknesses but if you wanna go fanboy over it. Which console outta the two has sold more??? Sold More Games?? and is not last outta the top 3 next gen consoles???? PS3 is good (which i actually find hard to admit) but so is the 360 get over it and keep it on topic.
jtbthatsme: I wasn't trying to flame anyone just pointing out the thread was going way off topic. As this is supposed to be about Red Dead (my favourite game at the moment).
On the console front most people i know who own a PS3 own either a xbox 360 as well and or a Wii and all say the 360 is the better machine. Personally have owned 2 360's myself as someone wanted my first one more than I and stole it whilst my wife picked me up from work. Now have a house with 3 working 360's in it one of which is the only one i have known to get RRoD got fixed a year or more back and worked fine ever since. MS probably released their console too early but with a 3 year replacement warranty for their faulty machine i think they have done a good job at trying to put it right. Sorry if i offended anyone it was not my intention.
There are lots of threads here that are filled with complaints about this that and the other thing but this thread is supposed to be about Red Dead which is a great game, with awesome graphics great story and some good fun multiplayer options (although i only use system link for this). I especially like the quick draw start to the multiplayer games makes it a bit of fun to start off with.
