mrphil: anyone know what type of combo packs there will be with the game and ps3?

or should i wait till xmas for a better deal?

Probably will be combo packs coming out closer to Christmas, also the PlayTV PS3 bundle is out for a bit over $700 with 320gb hdd

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

thanks, i'm thinking to get the play tv bundle now..you will save more than a GT5 pack

thanks, i'm thinking to get the play tv bundle now..you will save more than a GT5 pack

Yeah agreed :) I'd get that pack if I didn't already have two PS3s

They might do what mightyape does - send it the day before so it gets to you on release day.. Could email playtech and ask?

tbh, anything other than a midnight launch I will struggle with

Anyone seen any of the GT Academy? They've been playing it weeknights from 10.30pm on C4.

Semi interesting, but not amazing....but at least it shows Sony is ramping up their ad campaign, guess we'll see more GT Adverts in the next week!

Does anyone recall seeing GT5 in the latest FlyBuys catalogue? I was pretty sure I saw it there, as I recall making a comment to my wife about having a game in there that had no firm release date (this was prior to the Nov 24/25 announcements). I went to the rewards website to see how many points it would set me back, but its not showing up. I'm hoping it will be there on or shortly after the 25th, but if anyone has the latest catalogue, can you please a) confirm its there and b) tell me how many points it will set me back?

Went into a few stores today and they all said they'd have PS3+GT5 bundles by Thursday. Pricing was unknown but would be out by Wednesday.

I'm sorely tempted to take the plunge on a 320GB box with GT5. Maybe even a playTV might find its way into my stocking if i'm lucky.

Pretty sure it was there, because I remember mentioning to my wife that its amusing theyre offering something thats not guaranteed to be out this year. (This was before the latest release date).

But gone from the site.... so they must have gone "oops".

my guess would be 320GB PS3 with GT5 for $699 (same deal with black ops) saving about $110 (which is the game)

or

playtv bundle, 320GB PS3 with playtv for $729

once again a 320GB PS3 is $699 but playtv is $199, so you save about $169 with this bundle

i'm waiting till next month and see what xmas deals they will be doing :)
