So,  5th November is the date for the most awaited (well, IMHO) driving game in gaming history..... Gran Turismo 5.

Whos pre-ordered ? :)

What cars / tracks are you hanging out for ?

I have preordered Singanture edition :). Hanging out for the Mclaren F1's the most, and I HOPE they bring back Red Rock Valley from GT2. That track was sweet.

That looks rather awesome. Must be time to get a PS3. Though I'm just getting my PS2 "fixed up" tomorrow hehe. Us muppets move slowly.

Does it have crash damage? That's the one thing I've always felt missing, as do a lot of others I think. Still, that's a minor niggle on a fantastic game.

I was still on PS2 until a few months ago....miss some of the old games but overall a huge improvement (obviously ;) ).

In November 08, Sony were talking with the car manufacturers to allow some damage to appear but it was a fight...dont know what the final outcome was in the end. There are some videos floating around showing GT5 damage but if this has made it into the final version who knows....

Excellent! PS3 time it is!

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

I think you have confused your words.  I assume you mean you do have to wait (I think there is a superfluous 'not' in there).

Gran Turismo is the Real Driving Simulator
Simulator training will make my real life driving better
Better driving is safer
Therefore this game will make our family safer.

Or

Your wife is looking at buying a sports car and you need to get this game to demonstrate to her all the lovely (Hi-Def only on PS3!) cars...

Hopefully Sony will revise the Sensitive Fireman to cater to your needs. Its a great start, but currently he's only useful if attempting to procure a Move.

One problem with that...she knows I like speed.... she'll view it as "training will make my real life driving better and faster" ;)
