hadenkose:

Just got this little doozie of an email from JB....

Thanks for ordering from JB Hi-Fi Online.

Unfortunately due to overwhelming demand we have oversold our allocation for the December shipment of PS5 Consoles.

We have held your order for the next shipment which is due early 2021 (exact date TBC)

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Please let us know if you wish to wait for the later shipment or if you would like us to cancel this order.

Orders placed with credit/debit cards will not have been charged but paypal or giftcard purchase have and can be refunded on request.

Once again we apologise for this error.

BUGGER IT!!!

That sucks. I’ll try next year at eb games or mighty ape. Sounds like jb hi fi are disorganised

I can't hold off any longer, I'm going to have to go into the office. What's the probably they try to deliver it before midday when my wife gets home?

I don't know whether to be ecstatic or livid. My wife has just come home and found my PS5 on the porch sitting by the front door. I hadn't left an authorisation to leave and it should have required a signature.

Thankful that it was still there when she came home but that's a major breach of protocol by the courier driver.

I hope you made a complaint for the left parcel mate :)

Mine took about 30 mins. Possibly now reflects the number of people doing it - when I did it at 11 am yesterday, we were still way ahead of the rest of the world clock and only a handful of people doing it at that time.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

It's slightly frustrating that my PS5 camera adapter has yet to arrive. Not tracking information or anything. No ETA

Mine's now on its way; got the email this morning. Did you get one too?

wow. This thread is motivating me to look at getting a PS5 next year when every man and their dog starts to have package deals and freebies....

- It will replace my PS1 from 1999 (which replaced my "Fountain" from the 1980s).

:-)

Now... to convince the Mrs....  I know the kids will be sweet as for support to purchase!

I was cleaning the garage on the weekend and found my Xbox (just 'xbox' as it was the only one at the time). It still works and my son thinks it's awesome.

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Wow; I completely forgot about those! Now I'm trying to remember who I knew that had one...

Hell no. If anything its easily the best one so far. Today is going to be all about backwards compatibility for me anyway. Downloaded a bunch of ps4 titles from my library last night. Hopefully get in some more Godfall and try out Black Ops Cold War which arrived this morning.

Only just discovered that you can't use the Dual Sense for VR games. Lucky I wasn't planning on selling my PS4 Pro as I will need to pair the Dual Shock 4 to the PS5 for VR.

Played through a few hours of Miles Morales on Fidelity mode last night.  Wow, so pretty, and the enhancements to combat for Miles vs Peter from the original game are great.  I think the story is shaping up very well too.  Sometimes the city looks ultra realistic when you're swinging through Manhattan.  It's incredible.

The controller really is transformative.  I hope devs to more with it over time.  I described it to my friend last night as almost like the surround sound version of a controller.  Once you use it you'll know what I mean.  Make sure to play through some of the Astro game that comes out of the box to get a good understanding of what it can do.
