Have received the tax invoice from Vodafone confirming the order, now the long wait...
I picked up an additional dualsense from Noel Leeming ($99 until the 17th) and been using it on remote play for my ps4. I like it.

I never got an email only an order number. Sounds like won't be getting this. I called Voda and they were typically as useless as always and couldn't confirm either way.

Has anyone transferred their saves across from their PS4? I've found plenty of articles saying the best way is to use Ethernet, but I'm struggling to find any details on how to actually do it. I found a thing saying 'use the Data Transfer app' but I can't find any such thing. How do you actually kick off a transfer?

Edit: Of course, now that I've grizzled about it, I've found it. It's in Settings, not under Saved Data but under System. And it doesn't show up when you search for it either. Sigh.

Mine happened sort of automatically. It asked what I wanted to transfer and I indicated everything (I didn’t have a lot). It said ‘make sure both consoles are turned on  - and on the same network’ (I didn’t use a cable). Then there it all was.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

My PS5 has died after 5 minutes of use.  Pain in the ass.

That's rough.  What does "died" mean?

I turned it on, downloaded and installed the day 1 patch, booted up astro bot, played for about 5 minutes then the screen went green and the console turned off.

Haven't been able to turn it on since. It won't even boot into safe mode.

That's a bugger. Wonder if it's a known issue following the update?

I've seen a couple of similar reports relating to the disk version, which is what I have.

I'm still constantly fascinated by the form factor of this console.  It's size aside, it's a bonkers design.  I swing wildly between loving and hating it, depending on the hour of the day.

I just hate it. The plastic wings feel cheap. Having to mess around with a base when changing orientation is annoying
