I seem to have accidentally purchased Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood.

I guess I know what I'm gonna be doing for more hours than I should be in the near future.

Having received the purchased game disc, opening it and realising that my last PC hardware upgrade resulted in no longer having a DVD drive of any form connected to the PC as there's no external drive bay in the case.

*facepalm*

That's awkward.  Gonna have to figure out how I resolve that issue.

On an unrelated Note, for the Amiga 500 (I think) there was a wizard game, with cauldrons and you could fly around and do stuff. My memory on the details are pretty limited, but does anyone know the game I am referring to? It was an arcade game.

Jeepers.... not much to go on there :D

Platform type I take it ?

Super Cauldron ? https://classicreload.com/super-cauldron.html

Yeah, it was a long time ago, I don't recall that much myself, I am not even 100% sure it was Amiga, but I think it was. Platform type game, but if I recall you flew around, and you were a little wizard etc I think.

I do recall there being caulrons though....

I'd know it the second I saw it.

Do you have the audio issue too? My conversations involving the 'dialogue wheel' thing are OK - interactions with team members and no wheel, are pretty much inaudible.

Yep, pretty much everyone has it.

Update to v.1.03 has been released, 13.4GB.

https://www.ea.com/games/mass-effect/mass-effect-legendary-edition/news/update-6-7

The notes don’t say anything about fixing the HT rear audio issue, referred to above. Haven’t tested it yet - still downloading.

Despite people here saying the audio glitch is a known issue, I’m not sure it is. When I have googled for that issue, I can find a few hits - but it doesn’t seem to be widely reported. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Edit: Just re-checked this and found a lot more hits than when I first did it weeks ago. No acknowledgement of an issue from EA or BioWare though.

In the meantime, I have disconnected my HT while playing the game - using just the TV’s built-in speakers, which goes against the grain a bit. I found some of the dialogue that was almost inaudible too hard to live with - not quite as bad on the TV speakers.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Friends and I did, but got stale quite quickly when we figured out how to cheese enemies.

It never really lived up to it’s co-op survival/horror/shooter trailer expectation. You spend most of the time sneaking around bonking sleepers over the head, or bunny hopping through them when you learned how to do so. I think there was only one mission where you actually got to do a proper defense/holdout like in the trailers, but the limited weapons and resources didn’t make it any fun to complete.

FF7 remake - Waiting on the free Intergrade 10/06/21

Updated this morning. For other PS5 owners rather than a game update automatically like others in the library do, I had to go into the PS store find the PS5 upgrade version (seperate to the Intergrade PS5 version) then install that it was around 85Gb from memory.

Came across yet another neat MAME front end, CoinOps. So been playing classic arcades....

Apart from that, just GTAV (still) and occasional Deep Rock Galactic with mates.

Got a LAN next month, and we're all picking a game to try so could be interesting. Also will be playing Artemis which was hilarious last time we tried years ago.
