Will almost certainly finish ME1 remastered tonight or tomorrow. I am in the final stretch. I have completed most things. I have really enjoyed it on the whole. I didn't find it too difficult, but I didn't mind the back stories and interactions with NPC's the way I usually do (I usually skip most dialog as I am not hugely story-driven). I think someone said ME2 wasn't as good, which would be disappointing.

ME2 is the best of the 3 IMO, but i do find the remastering a bit less "impressive" than ME1.

Agreed. ME2 is the best of the 3 I've played for story and playability. Can't comment on the remasters though as have yet to play them. Will add them to the list of games to buy, then put away for years hahahaha

Epic Games is giving away Control (Standard Edition) starting tomorrow. That's what I'll be playing this weekend!

Mass Effect LE update to v.1.03 has been released, 13.4GB.

The notes don’t say anything about fixing the HT rear audio issue, referred to above. Haven’t tested it yet - still downloading.

Found that the update has not fixed the surround sound issue. Others have also noted this:

Arghhhh!

Not that I had planned it but I happened to be up just prior to midnight. I download my Rift Apart pre-order then stared at the screen while the countdown timer showed the minutes remaking to game unlock. Midnight struck and the timer gave way to a play button. Hit the play button and another countdown timer kicks in for 11hrs!!!

That’s when I realise that my primary PS account is an Irish account so I’m locked out until midnight Dublin time.

I'm aware of Death Stranding but haven't really considered it. However, after seeing this, I think it might be next on my list when this update comes out - and if/when I finish Mass Effect LE.

I have never really understood the attraction of Ratchett and Clank. Nothing against them, it's just never appealed. Same with Mario, Mario Carts etc. I wonder if it's to do with the fact I never tried them earlier on, and so don't feel attached to the characters or franchise and now feel like, whilst those games can be played standalone, but I feel you miss something not understanding the history of the characters or universe. Also I found some of the humor I've seen a bit.. dumb?

Not an attack on the games or the players that do enjoy them. I am tempted to get it, but not a chance I'm paying $140 for it. The only reason I am keen to play it, would be to see the graphics which apparently are the best of a PS5 game to date and significant jump up on whats come before.

I didn't either until I got really bored with the lack of PS5 games earlier in the year and the updated version of the last R&C came out with PS5 enhancements.  I realised it's almost like you're playing a character in a Pixar movie.  The animation is so crisp, writing is funny, mechanics are fun, it's just an all round fun time.  I'm not big on platformers in general but this one scratched a particular itch and I really am excited about the new one since it seems to be one of the first games to take full advantage of PS5, particular the lack of load times when portaling from world to world on the fly.

@gehenna have you played the remastered original spiderman? I got it for $10 when I bought Miles Morales (which I haven't played yet as I can't seem to get into him as a character).

I really enjoyed the original.

Yip played both of those.  Miles Morales gets better as the story progresses.  I did find the arenas a bit repetitive though.  It's almost worth playing just for the opening sequence with Rhino though.  Running through that mall feels almost photo realistic in some parts.

For me, I'm a casual gamer. I probably get less than 2-3 hours per week that i can dedicate to gaming. So when I do I just want something that I pick up quickly and get enjoyment out of. I don't have the time to invest into a story (although I've mad exceptions, The Last of Us II).

Platformers are just easy to pick up and they're fun!

Incredibly disappointing news today. 7 years of expectation for Lost Ark and the western release from Amazon ends up being explicitly NA/EU only.

The reason seems to be publishing rights, but given they’ve got issues with Netherlands and Belgium’s lootbox laws it looks more like a profit motivated decision.
