Started Roguebook the other day on PC (Steam). If you're a slay the spire fan you'll love this too. Great gameplay, good strategy building and a lot of interesting new mechanics.
After badly tearing my calf in Squash which put paid to a trip to QT skiing my family had been planning for 9 months (I am staying home, and they are going away without me!), I decided since I'll be spending a lot of time on my butt for the next few weeks/months, that I would finally upgrade the TV in our bedroom. I splurged a little and bought the 48" OLED C1 with 120Hz. I am damned impressed with it, though I am not convinced that 120Hz is that massive an improvement over 60 with my Xbox One Series X. It's probably a bit smoother, but it's hard to tell without being able to compare. The other thing is the soundtrack is very good.
I have, however, been enjoying Borderlands3, and especially Forza Horizon 4 which is stunning at the best of times, but really something else on OLED.
Waded through Mass Effect Legendary Edition - well, ME1 and ME2. Thought they were OK but not great. By the time I got to ME3, I'd had enough and abandoned it after a few hours. Unlikely to go back.
I've never played the Resident Evil series because I thought it wasn't my cuppa tea. Nevertheless I bought RE Village for PS5 a week or so ago - mainly based on decent ratings on Metacritic. Despite reading the reviews, I didn't really know what to expect. Thought it started a little ho-hum and was concerned as to whether it would get better. It does - in a big way. I'm now about 20% through - and totally hooked. IMO it's a great game and beautifully made.

I changed the case my lounge gaming PC was in yesterday. Went from the NZXT H1 with 3080 installed, to a Silverstone Sugo 15. The difference is night and day. Getting at least 10 degrees cooler running temps on the GPU and it's so much quieter too. I had been concerned that my office PC was performing better in some games than the lounge one, which is technically much more powerful. Now it's silky smooth downstairs, couldn't be happier. Getting a solid 4K 60fps on ultra settings with all my games now, and 120fps on a few at lower resolutions or with DLSS.
I have been playing Desperados 3 as part of Game Pass on Xbox (God the value of this is insane). What a fantastic little game. I have managed to complete 6 levels so far, and I am taking SO much longer and not hitting any of the extra reward type targets, but it's still fun. @eracode this might be up your alley.
I am still playing Forza Horizon 4. I am really enjoying it. The Porsches are my favourite cars, the 918 Spyder is a total blast and drives well in all weather. Money hasn't come as quickly as I'd like, I am still trying to get the P1 Electric Super Car.
I am not into Tuning, which makes some missions pretty hard.

Appreciate the thought but sadly no Xbox.

It's available on PC and Playstation too.
Started up Witcher 3 again on the PC to give my 3080 a workout, …..for the third time haha, still such a pretty game.
I had cranked up the ascent on the Xbox series X using game pass however with the distance from couch to the TV some of the text appears way too small within the game menus. - on that, any recommendations for game pass games on the series X from people?

Thanks again - hadn't heard of it before - checked it out and it looks great. Reviewed pretty well on Metacritic too. Does indeed look like my sort of game and backwards compatible on PS5. Found it on TM for $20 so it's now on it's way ready for when I complete RE Village shortly.

Hades on PS5!
Loving it. I am very particular on my "Rogue-likes", but when I find one that clicks I get really into it. The last one that caught my attention was Dead Cells but spent a large portion of this weekend honing my Hades skills.
12 hours into Valhalla and just finished Norway last night. The AC Valhalla opening credit has just appeared LOL. This is going to be a loooooooong one.

Glad to hear it. I like games like this, though games like Hitman, don't really appeal the same way, or thief etc. I like games where I have options on how to solve.
I watched some videos of other people playing missions I'd completed, and feel kinda dumb and slow compared, but I have been having a blast with it.
I often look at a group and can't figure out how to clear it, then I take a break for half an hour or so, come back and it's amazing what new ideas come to mind.
Watching some replays also showed me some of the things you can interact with like animals which would have saved me a lot of time. Also I've spent a lot of time hiding bodies, when often that isn't required.
Let me know once you have played a couple of missions and how you are finding it.

I should be ashamed to admit that I spent more than 200 hours on it.
