I have minimal doubt that the dbrands ones are totally legit and they were doing the OMG dare you to sue us thing as promo.

gehenna:

My replacement plates arrived from dbrand today.  They're really great quality and it makes a huge difference to the look of the PS5 in my shelf.  I wish this was an optional sku instead of the default white!

Your installation is very similar to mine - in a white recess. (I prefer the white-in-white look but that’s a personal thing.)

Assuming your cabinet has a back on it, are you concerned about air flow in the recess and warm air accumulating in there, reducing the cooling of the PS5? I was, so I cut a 2cm-high horizontal strip out of the backing of the cabinet - the full width of the recess and up at the top of the rear of the recess where it can’t be seen from the front. My thinking is that this will allow the rising hot air to escape at both the back and front of the top of the recess - maybe circulate better.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

No back and not concerned, there's heaps of air.

Wow i didn't think that people were still waiting for them to arrive. I bought mine from the warehouse online Thursday night and picked up from Friday.

So last Wednesday I checked on The Warehouse app and was surprised to see it all lit up instead of being lighted out with a sold out message.

I quickly did the purchase for click and collect with it saying it would be 2-4 business days (I am guessing they were being sent to stores from a central location).

I never 100% believed I was going to get it until I got the ready for collection email today.

Now I just need my VR adaptor which was sent mid December to arrive.

Does anyone know who we can contact should the VR adaptor not arrive?

Keep at it.. I got an email from Noel Leeming yesterday afternoon saying it was in stock, about 15 mins after it was sent I saw it, managed to order on the website no problem. But checked again literally a minute after and it was sold out, so just got lucky I guess.

Because of the particular date today, one would expect this to be a practical joke :)

Did they appear on the Mightyape site page for a normal purchase? - I checked late after 9am and gone.

They’ve charged my card so good sign I guess. I got it, went and had another look and they were all gone.

(half-serious) if I catch any of you buying consoles to sell I will ban you and ensure you never return here.

I am so sick of scalpers. Been attempting to get a PS5 since launch but keep missing out then with each drop I see more for sale on Trademe...
