Work mate went into EB Games Manukau l last night.
They had PS5 disc version in stock. He bought one.
Sounds like they are not selling online to prevent scalpers.

Yup similar story from another person I know as well. He called around various retailers and some had stock on hand in low numbers.

Had to be collected.

@michaelmurphy if you want to call around Auckland central retailers, I am happy to go and collect one and ship it to you.

How does buying in store vs online prevent scalpers?

I guess it means they can't easily create multiple accounts to order more than one.

I've largely given up attempting to order online. Getting rather discouraged now as I am often either in meetings or away from a computer.

Will drop into our local EB Games here. Ironically the PS5 isn't really going to be for me in the end but my partner who I've managed to convert from the Xbox over to the PS4.

Yes. Had a page scanner running looking for stock changes on the main suppliers which alerted me to this stock within 10 minutes.

Managed to get two orders in so my wife and I will not be fighting over who gets one first! :)

And... Now out of stock!

What do you use to scan pages?

Are you going to buy two so that you and Mrs Hawk will not be fighting over who gets to play? 😀

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

damnit ! I seem to see these things the day after!

I went into my local jb hifi last night and told them I signed up online selecting them as my local store, they checked and I wasn't on their list so they added me to it.. it was painful as they had 15 in stock all set aside for reserved customers.

fingers crossed not all of them want them !

Just a PHP script I wrote on one of my Linux Servers to look for specific changes to the 'In Stock' or 'Out of Stock' parts of the page. Scanning the pages only occurred every 10 minutes between 7am and 11pm. Email and Text alerts are sent if stock changes are detected.
