@JPNZ Completely agree re the power-off - quite annoying.

I find the battery life on the Dualsense is quite short compared to the Dualshock 4. I just use mine plugged in most of the time.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Oh yes, Ive just started to notice this the longer I play. It definitely lasts less time than the DS4. I just grabbed the sony dual charging base so I keep one on there whilst I'm at work. Will grab a 2nd Dualsense when they come on special again down the line.

Difference being how much faster they charge. Like you, I bought the dual charger and I always have one on charge, but in 20 minutes I can charge one to use for an hour and a half, so it's never a serious problem any more.

I need to sort my xbox controllers out.

Ok. so I grabbed a disc version. I did that in case someone sees them back in stock but missed out. I'll sell to anyone who asks (first in first served) at the ticket price (not looking to profit, just help others who may not be around as they come available).

PM me if you want/need one.

Must have at least 100 posts or active participation in this thread to stop anyone who finds this, joining buying and scalping.

Just thought I would let everyone know that you might want to wait till another revision of the console before buying it.

I recently bought my PS5 and it has the noisy fan and also when it plays PS5 Games it has terrible coil whine... It's like sitting in a barber chair while someone if shaving your hair off.

I can hear it from 10 meters aways, including the fan. Anyway I have seen that it seems to be a common issue with the particular fan (Nidec) and the coil whine can vary.

So it seems to be lottery if you get a whisper quiet PS5 or a PS5 that sounds like a UFO (with fan noise) paired with terrible clipper sounds from the PSU.

Or, you could just claim under warranty and not have to wait an undisclosed period for next gen gaming. All hardware has it's issues, I don't think the solution to that particular issue is to just not buy one. A pretty small number of people are experiencing it.

Ive only played a couple of PS5 games but I can barely hear my PS5 at all. It can be a little noisy on startup with a PS4 disc in.

Similar for me. The only time I hear anything is when there's a disc in the drive (PS4 or PS5), and only when first jumping into the action.

This is what i am doing, but the Nidec Fan which is also the fan company that was used for PS4 Pro that made the high pitched ufo sound is actually in a big sample size.

Different levels of coil whine probably smaller, but the current batch with nidec fans will all be loud no matter what.

For lack of a better place to post this, is there an easy way to stream a video from Android phone to PS5? Have just received our wedding ceremony video back from our videographer, shared via OneDrive and I've downloaded it to my phone (MP4 file) and am trying to find a way to play it on my non Smart TV. I guess Chromecast would be easiest here but don't have one as Vodafone TV and Playstation meet all my streaming needs so haven't a had a need for one.

Tried PS Remote Play which a google search suggests should work to mirror Android to PS5 but I can only make that show my PS5 screen on my phone rather than the other way round. Tried Plex signed into the same account on PS5 but my phone won't find the other device to cast to. Trying uploading to my Youtube account as a private video, but the upload keeps failing (using Fibre connection but perhaps too large a file to upload from my phone?). Any other app or suggested way to do this? Also have PS4 if there's an easier way (perhaps some useful apps are not yet available on PS5).

Not sure about streaming options from your phone but you could create a private youtube channel and upload the video there and then watch via the youtube app? I don't know much about private channels or PS5's, so this may not work.

Thanks, that's what I was trying to do and it failed, but has now worked. So have it uploaded to my Youtube account as an unlisted video, so I can view via Youtube on Vodafone TV or Playstation, and share it with others I want to be able to watch it. Would still be good to know how to cast something from phone to PS5 for future reference though. Youtube was ideal for this as I want to be able to share it.
