Just got to act 2. Definitely a bit harder; I shouldn't have been surprised but damn Blizzard still know how to make a damn fine cut scene!

Overall yeah I'd probably rate it around 87% or so. Really good fun! (Think I preferred Dragon Age though)

Hmmm, well the game is definitely fun but I am still plagued by issues playing - I get fairly frequent disconnects and "Error 3007" which is very annoying as I keep losing all progress from last checkpoint.

I found a suggestion to join a chat channel while playing, which does seem to lessen the frequency of this, but doesn't prevent them.

Apparently if you contact Blizzard support about it they will blame your end as the issue (despite the large number of people experiencing it and apparent randomness which would suggest to me there something wrong in their code or servers) and then get you to open a bunch of ports... byt why the hell would I want to do that when all I want to do at the moment is play through single player!?? I also see that while they're doing server maintenance the game is unplayable??  Very annoying as it's a fun game but also feels a bit like playing a buggy MMO...

I've had a fairly good run so far. Only 2 drop offs like you a,but also 3 server shutting down msgs but can reconnect instantly.
Periodically checking the latency bar sees around 340-380 - mostly yellow.
Seen green a couple of times but that's still in the 290's.
Which to me would be very laggy for multi player.
(Im running a Telstra cable connection)

I am getting seriously pissed off with Blizzard. I have just played the same bit of the game 5 times because I keep getting disconnected. Anyone got the CEO's email address?

Yea it does get a bit of lag sometimes. On Snap here with 150-160ms and hardly ever moves off that unless servers are lagging.

Yea our party keeps getting disconnected as well. Trying to kill Diablo on Hell mode.

Says they are still doing maintenance

I know it's been said before but the requirement for an internet connection on single player, is just completely unacceptable. What completely slags me even more is that I have had exactly 1 hour to play this week and when I wanted to play by sheer "co-incidence" it was during a time when they were having issues.

I'm on TCL Cable in Christchurch and seeing 300ms+ latency (to The Americas servers region) too.. :-/

And thanks to @SideFX for helping me through Act II: Lord of Lies and now in Act III and bloody hard daemons for Barbarians! :-/

How do you see latency?

Act 1 seemed very very short.

I'd like to play act II but these munters can't get their stuff sorted. Man I wish this forum allowed swearing, it's so appropriate!

Latency - Its the vertical bar to the left of the arcane power orb.
Hover over it. Mines 341 right now

I am really getting frustrated, I can't BELIEVE how laggy single player is, 11pm last night. It's infuriating.

No worries :) and yeah, up to act III now too, quite a bit harder than II. Might be some balance issues with Barbarians cause I found the final battle on II to be fairly easy - might have been because of the practice though!  I'm the sort of person who likes to explore as much as possible before moving on too, so by the time I got there I think had a yellow item in every slot and was a couple of levels higher.

TBH I haven't bothered even hopping on the last couple of nights with the lag and disconnects. Quite disappointing from a company that runs WoW... woulda thought they would have all these issued sorted before launch.  And yeah it's ridiculous that there is no way to play single player disconnected.

What's frustrating is I know someone who didn't buy their copy and can play offline just fine.

i found it fine last night.  sometimes it spiked to around 200.

there was a disturbing "system restart"... I thought it was going to be for 8 hours again.. but it actually came back real quick.. there was about 40 minutes notice i think. then sometime later the auction system went down and up.

my rule of thumb is that lag decreases around 7:30 pm here.  if you try playing at 6pm it'll lag more.

Very frustrating if true;  funny how companies still haven't learned...
