Apparently its still bricking some gpus. Jayztwocents posted a video recently.

Pushing power consumption well beyond the limit set by the bios or overclocking software in both large spikes well over it, and also some sustained few % over, leading to the power parts of the board unsoldering themselves on some boards and just blowing up on others.

I have looked at videos of gameplay and it looks to be what I would call "less than fun"

I'm playing through Alan Wake Remastered on PS5.  I remember why I loved it when it came out back on the 360.  Such a great story and a very nice remaster (not remake).

I finished Alan Wake.  Wow what a great story and experience.  I'm glad I didn't replay it over the years, this remaster is the best way to experience it.  It still feels like a 10 year old game in some ways, but they've done a great job.

I am seriously considering picking up the GTA Trilogy. San Andreas was one of my favourite games ever.

Anyone else considering doing the same?

So, I have been playing Forza Horizon 5. I can't recall the last time I played a game that was more buggy at release. It's beautiful and fun and rewarding and buggy.

GTA SA I got with game pass. Turns out it was Vice City I liked better, but I don't have that yet. San Andreas is pretty clunky even remastered. Controls are terrible I may not persist.

Anyone placed Vice City who has an opinion on it?

I also got in on the Halo Infinite. I don't usually play online games as I lack the time and inclination to play enough to be competitive, though I must admit this is the best online FPS I've played in a long long time. It's smooth, and controls are great and shooting isn't too hard. The only issues I have found is where I can empty a clip into someone and they don't die and yet I die with 1-2 shots. I need to find a group of people who are at my level so it's not just me being cannon fodder.

Currently playing Far Cry 6. IMO it's not a mindblowingly great game but I'm enjoying it enough to keep going until something better comes along. One thing that stands out are the terrain/vegetation/water graphics - beautifully done. Driving mechanics are good too - different vehicles drive differently with differences in their haptic feel through the DualSense.

Yeah, I forgot FC6 in my list above, I have played through about 50% I would imagine. I preferred 4 and 5 but it's still OK.

Stagger your fire, aim anywhere (centre mass is best) to break shields as damage is same then straight to head for headshot bonus.

The assault rifle blooms heavily after 3-5 shots so don’t go full auto unless they’re right in front of you. Similar with the pistol, do double tap-pause-double tap with your shots to lower bloom.

If you played original overwatch, it’s like S76’s pulse rifle. You can practise this in the weapon drills mode, getting three stars on that needs you to land most rounds so you can’t let it go full auto bloom.

Otherwise Halo Infinite is great, though some issues with battle pass, cosmetics and playlist options. Good fun with friends and coordinating in objective matches.

Same with Halo - mostly a campaign guy, but it's pretty nice.

Also feel like I die like a chump way to often.

May need to get into ranked so I can be on the despair tier :)

I have always intended to get Cyberpunk 2077 but was waiting for the re-done version to come out. Just saw this - the re-do upgrade is going to be free for owners of the original release. So I have just now ordered the original from JB - happy with the price at $39. May take a while to get to me but that’s OK.

Halo Infinite Single Player Campaign.

With the exception of not really understanding the story as I haven't really followed Halo Lore, and after what I'd describe as a rough start due to what felt like was clunky movement and horrible initial weapons, I am now really enjoying the game much more.

I still don't understand what's happening plot-wise, but I don't play games for their story, most games, including TLOU, I couldn't really tell you the plot even after playing it through.

Halo Infinite is very good. Nor perfect, and I am struggling without the background story to understand the plot still, but the game play is very enjoyable. When I travel, I have for the past x years taken a Playstation with me as I tended to play more PlayStation than Xbox, but right now, Xbox has my full attention and I may end up taking that away with us this time.
