To start mirroring your Android phone to your PS5, firstly, you need to install the PS Remote Play app on your phone. Then, set up your PS5 console by going to Settings > Systems >Enable Remote Play. Run the application on your Android phone, and sign into your account to PSN.

Have just received our wedding ceremony video back from our videographer, shared via OneDrive and I've downloaded it to my phone (MP4 file) and am trying to find a way to play it on my non Smart TV. I guess Chromecast would be easiest here but don't have one as Vodafone TV and Playstation meet all my streaming needs so haven't a had a need for one.

Tried PS Remote Play which a google search suggests should work to mirror Android to PS5 but I can only make that show my PS5 screen on my phone rather than the other way round. Tried Plex signed into the same account on PS5 but my phone won't find the other device to cast to. Trying uploading to my Youtube account as a private video, but the upload keeps failing (using Fibre connection but perhaps too large a file to upload from my phone?). Any other app or suggested way to do this? Also have PS4 if there's an easier way (perhaps some useful apps are not yet available on PS5).

I thought Plex would have been the best solution?

Thanks, that's exactly what I did but I was only able to get it to show my PS5 screen on my phone, I couldn't get it to go the other way.

A bit of stock going around today - just got a PS5 on the thewarehouse online store, and EB games has some nationwide in store for people to walk in and buy.

About a week ago I set up a Google Alert for iPlayer/ITV/PS5 in case I miss an announcement - unlikely to be announced here in NZ. Haven't had a dickybird from the alert yet. Those two apps have been promised but seems no-one is in any hurry.

I'm aware of a few long-term Geekzone members who are selling consoles at scalper prices on Trademe - I also know who you are, I won't rat you out, but what you're doing is a dick move.

The majority of people on here are great, I picked up my own console on here at non-scalper prices so seriously thank you all but I am very, very disappointed to see members of our community selling consoles on Trademe at scalper pricing.

If you're reading this and you're scalping consoles then I really hope you get stuck with a bunch of consoles you can't sell and make a loss. Seriously, you deserve it, karma is real.

If anyone here wants to sell a console at RRP then feel free to message me with the username of the Geekzone member you're wanting to sell to and I'll inform you if it is one of these people. Thanks all.

wow that sucks if people on GZ are getting consoles at cost from GZ then offloading the same console for a profit.

Like most people I want one but know I will have to wait till I can time it right and see one in store/online, I’ve still got the PC I can use in the meantime.

Dint know if anyone has mentioned it before but there is a NZ facebook group, where people update where the new consoles are in stock for preorder and the like, helpful if you are happy to preorder and wait.

Why not? Scalping is a scourge and maybe some public embarrassment amongst their peers will make people reconsider this odious behaviour in future?
