it's interesting that CP77 for PS4 (and Xbox) is still showing at a score of 57 on Metacritic. That rating is from the original version released in 2020 and is the result of the buggy and glitched original release.

Now that several patches and updates have been released - including the major PS5 update a couple of days ago - it seems a bit unfair for it to still be saddled with the original score. Surely it's a vastly better game now.

There's not actually a PS5 review score showing yet on Metacritic. I wonder if one will eventuate.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I am feeling really annoyed, I can't find my CP77 disk anywhere. I do want to play it. Now trying to work out how I get another copy cheap.

More annoyingly, the minute I arrange something, I will find the freaking thing.

Thankfully, I have HZD to keep me busy this weekend.

Forbidden West has arrived and is installing now.

One good thing about being locked at home isolating awaiting Covid results.

I have some cable guys here again doing more ethernet runs around the house for cameras, they've had to disconnect my wi-fi to get access, which means I can't download Horizon until they're done.  Usually takes 30-60 mins to download a decent sized game these days so I'm at least 1 hour + however long it takes them to finish their work away from being able to play :(

Has anyone found a multiplayer open world like Ghost Recon Wildlands?

Have tried Breakpoint (did not like at all) and have got a huge amount of time out of Division 2.

Keen to return to that real world vibe with vehicles and stealth etc.

Haven't seen anything like that original come up recently.

So, unfortunately, my gaming weekend was ruined by work, but I have managed to get a couple of hours under my belt. I can see lots of potential. It's beautiful to say the least. I am still getting my head around things, but the mechanics of most things are good. The bows aren't that great though, or at least my experience with them so far. It's pretty hard to use a bow once the fighting starts, and the slashing tool isn't that effective. Perhaps with more practice I'll get better.

What is excellent, is the movement speed. One of the bug bears I have with games, is that mechanics like climbing are often stilted and slow, it ruins the pace. With FW it's pretty quick, so you can get up and down things nice and quickly. The grapple is effective as well.

Despite watching two recaps, I still don't really 'get' the story. It's a me thing I think but I find all the strange names for things makes it harder to keep track of whos on whos side, who is good and bad and honestly, I've given up and will just play the game.

I love the game but I'm disappointed in the graphics modes.  Performance 60fps mode is very cut back.  Even at 1800p which is not far behind 4k, the level of detail in the world is much lower.  So I've decided to play at 4k 30.  It's such a major leap in fidelity that I'll just have to get used to the frame rate again after playing so many higher frame rate games lately.  I do hope this comes out on PC sometime so I can play 4k 60.  That would be amazing.

Why? The game released in an absolute state of disgust, it shouldn't even have been released. It deserves every sh%%y score it still has.

Found my Cyberpunk Disk! Not the cover though, strangely enough. Got the update. 58GB took 20 minutes to download. Pretty amazing.

Found the cover!

Everyone can stop panicking.

It's probably a reflection of being out of practice, but combat with bows in FB seems pretty average to me. It seems harder to aim, and hitting does less damage. I am pretty much killing everything with stealth and that won't be practical if I want to finish the game before I am 90.

I'll keep at it, but considering how accessible HZD was, this doesn't seem comparable.

Transversal does seem massively improved though, which is awesome.

What difficulty are you playing?  There's also a megaton of accessibility/control/hud options that should be tweakable to make it as difficult or as easy as you want.

I usually play all my games on the middle setting.

I'll keep at it. I didn't actually get to play that much over the weekend, it was really interrupted and it does usually take me a few hours to get into it. Halo Infinite I nearly quit after 2 hours and I thought that was the one of the best games I've played in a year.

My general comment was that the bows don't feel as natural or easy to use this time around. YMMV

Sorry can't help but I loved wildlands! Would be interested if anyone knows of similar too

Wildlands with friends cop-op on party was brilliant fun.

Soo was.  Scale of the game was insane and things like the flamingos and salt lakes of Bolivia were modelled incredibly well.

Division has had a lot of cool group coop gameplay (which I much prefer instead of against other human online groups) but it's all futuristic far fetched technology and I'd like to go back to traditional guns etc and vehicles in group play.

Division and D2 rank amongst some of the best games I've ever played. Single player though.
