Anyone still having trouble getting hold of a PS5? Here's an opportunity for you to get with the game:

If it wasn't for the texture, I would have been IN!

You could hide the texture by putting on those vinyl wrap thingys.

invisibleman18: That and you are not locked into the PSN store pricing which tends to be higher for games due to being a monopoly. Disc versions are usually cheaper (and go on special more) as physicals have to compete with eachother.
danepak: Sorry, this is a huge thread, so my question might have been answered earlier:
Is the only advantage (apart from having a bluray player) with the PS5 disc version that you can buy pre-owned games at some stage?
I like the price tag of the digital version, but I assume that you can’t trade a digital version of a game.
This has been discussed a few times but certainly agree it’s not easy to find those posts after the event. Some discussion back in April this year - see here:

With regard to price savings on physical discs, here’s a few recent examples:
Deathloop released recently - $120 to download from Sony or $95 for the disc at JB.
Desperados 3 - a great game from 2019 - still $105 to download. I recently paid $30 on TM for a second-hand disc. I may easily get my money back when I sell it shortly.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut released a couple of weeks ago - $105 to download it, $79 for the disc at JB.
Then of course you can on-sell the discs when you’ve finished with the game. I’m not a collector and don’t replay games, so I do this all the time. I should get ~$50 for DSDC when I sell it in a few weeks.
Under these circs the disc version of PS5 pays for itself over time - and you can’t sell a digital version. Plus you’ve got a BluRay player.

@danepak I think your needs may be met by Playstation Remote play.

This doesn't actually say you can Remote Play on a second TV - looks like you can play on mobile devices, laptops etc.

Remote play to PS5 even works from a PS4. So you can have a PS4 in another room and use that.
Best everything is on Ethernet but I also often remote play from either my PS4 or my PC from my mancave (PS5 is in the living room). The performance is pretty good.

Thanks. As the other poster points out, it doesn’t say if I can play simultaneously on a 2nd TV.
I basically want to play a 2-player game but on two TV’s.
No... You need 2 consoles for that.

One thing to note with the disc/disc-less stuff is that you can also use a US playstation account to get the prices from their store which are generally cheaper than the NZ store. The main thing with this though is that generally NZ credit cards won't work, so you'd need to buy cards from Amazon and redeem them on your PS account. Also, I have no idea how it works with playing online because I don't do that.

I havent tried it in the PS5 era, but I did try PS4 to the playstation TV box and it was horrid, looked like a bad twich stream and control was so laggy it was like the TV wasnt in game mode. Not sure if it will even work.
Also controller gets really spotty at distance. It will still "work" but have unpredictable latency.
Sending over a 60GHz wireless HDMI was faultless when we tried it at a friends place - they had one to get to their TV in the middle of the room from the AV gear off to the side. No lag at all with it.
