Zepanda66:

Courier post handle mighty ape deliveries on the north shore. And their  pretty solid you can have parcels delivered next day by 9PM its honestly pretty impressive.

I live on the Shore less than 20 KMs away from MA. They haven't managed this standard for 6 months for me.

Ordered disc version from NL - they allow ‘click & collect’.

So no launch bundles? I need at least 2 controllers and I want a game bundled. :)

Noel Leeming had a series of bundles, but many look to be sold out online now. The only one still available at the time of posting this was the Silver one with two controllers and the Spiderman game

I pre-ordered from EB disc version $819. The bundle from Nl doesn't seem to have any value to me. for the extra $230 difference, i could get a controller and the spider man game separately without forced to pay that much, in case I'm not ready for now anyway.

Ordered the disc version because I was too slow on the digital ones.  Sigh, but all good.  Pickup from NL sometime the first week.

Also looks like EB is doing an Xbox One X trade-in for the series X. $449 instead of retail, so I'll be doing that when the deal goes live on 22nd.

Been checking Mighty Ape's site periodically all day (been in meetings...) and haven't seen them listed yet, yet people say that they've ordered. Sigh. Done an order with NL since they're actually listing the thing.

I am surprised no pre-order available on the MA Website for the Series X? I thought it was announced a week ago (To be honest, been pretty busy so could be wrong about that)!

They were unavailable within minutes of going live there, and were briefly available for a window shortly afterwards (when I managed to sneak in). But now they seem to be all out of pre-order stock.

I ordered the disc version because in these days of streaming everything, our PS4 is the only machine we have on which we can play any sort of disc. We don’t play non-game discs very often but this week, for example I got a boxed set of Ewan McGregor/Charlie Boorman’s “Long Way Round” and “Long Way Down” DVDs from Auckland Library. Couldn’t have watched it without the PS4 - wouldn’t like to be without any type of player.

Apart from that, if possible I prefer having physical discs of PS games rather than downloads. I don’t save and collect them when finished so like being able to on-sell on TM rather than having them lying about.

I bought the disk version in case I want/can play prior versions of games, and secondly because I have some 4K HDR BR Disks and without something to play them on.....

For those ordering from NL, don't forget you can get $10 off if you search for a voucher code.

You'd think they could actually say something, rather than just having 'coming soon; add one to your wish list'.

Looks like EB Games is doing a similar sort of trade-in deal for the PS5

It does confusingly say TBC 2020, but then the product says 2021 stock.

Happy to take a punt that l’ll get more than $320 for my PS4 Pro on TM - even closer to the PS5 delivery time.

I think they have invested heavily in this gen hardware because they expect to deliver XCloud and a Xbox is a living room an acceptable bit of hardware. It usually gets "other half" sign off....

Wait until the other halves see the size of the Xbox Series X! Less likely to gain acceptance when its the size of a small subwoofer.

The PS5 is huge as well!!
