Lvl 8 Barbarian - Act 1 Single player.

Duel weapons and havent gotten very far in.

Fuinding the Slashing primary attack with an exploding corpse is really effective!

Anyone found another char to be better?

Open the options of and click "Elective Mode"; this allows you to use 6 skills, any skills, you are no longer confined to the skill trees. So you can have all Defensive skills if you want.

This means I can use all my minions as Witchdoctor, and still have AoE Life Drain and Confusion!

Level 10 Barb. 1 Handed with Shield. Keen to try dual wield. Finding the game is getting better as it goes along. To easy at the beginning and to much hitting objects for no reason and no reward.

Yeah I'm up to act 2 lvl 21 barbarian. There's much smashing to be done. A friend of mine said it perfectly when he told me D3 with the barbarian is basically 3d rendered MMORPG Pinata. :p

I use one handed weapons and a Kite shield when I,m facing enemies for the first time. I find using the slashing attack is best for almost all situations and when I know i can take a fair few blows I switch to a 30DPS axe with fire damage.

Haven't come across anything immune to fire just yet. I'm sure its coming.

Got to the end for the first time on Saturday. 25.5hrs. I think I play quite slow as I like to have a good look around but still did not find it long enough. Ended with a level 32 barbarian with a 2 handed axe. I really enjoyed the art and sound of the game. I found it got hard in Act 2 but easy again after that. This did coinside with ptach releases which may have changed thing. Certainly the bosses in Act 3 and 4 where not to difficult.

Just started a monk which looks fun. Planning on experimenting more with this run through.

I was talking to a colleague at work and then finally hit me with a revelation that my character - Barbarian - is ideally a tank! No wonder when I get to Act III, I frequently get slaughtered by a group of mobs in very tight/close space...

So gonna have to change my tactic.

Internet is my backyard...

LVL 50 Barb here, just finished nightmare and getting started on hell. I use two handed weapons, most of my items are geared around strength and vitality, but I look for ones that give me more hp per kill.

My skill build:

For killing lots of small mobs, I usually just spam furious charge with the merciless assault it can be very spammable and speedy for clearing lots of weak guys. On stronger, boss mobs I'll use the stomped with wrenching smash to pull them in and whirlwind to deal a lot of damage quickly to multiple targets.

On bosses and strong/rare mobs, I build up rage with frenzy to max and get the damage bonus, if necessary, use wrath of the ancients to take down really strong guys.

Also I always try to keep battle rage on for the bonuses

Lv 26 Barbarian & L9 Demon Hunter so far. The barbarian with a 1H + shield is a walking earthquake when Revenge is unleashed on large mobs. As for the Demon Hunter, don't ever get in the way when Rapid Fire cranks up.
