Be gentle, I know absolutely nothing about PC gaming...
11 year old son has finally nagged me to breaking point, and I have got him Minecraft. I have loaded it onto our old 32 bit XP lappy for him to bash about on. He has played it for ages on his iPad but apparently the PC version is soooo much better?
Now he wants to download and install a program called "Cheat Engine" www.cheatengine.org he is not permitted to download anything without parents approval...so the nagging has begun again.
Apparently it lets him muck around with the game and change some of the programming. The bit of reading I can understand it appears to be a hack of some sort, so not to keen on downloading it. It also mentions something about a "64 bit long key"...which I assume to mean it needs a 64 bit operating system? (therefore wont run on the old XP machine?)
Is cheatengine "safe"? (being a relative term on a computer)
Any other core recommendations for him to make the most of Minecraft
Cheers
