No one has started it up yet!! ??

Lets use this thread to talk about your experience in the game, class builds, gear trade or all those good things

Well I have my copy up and running & have been quietly anticipating this for many months

Currently only up to level 6 in the hour I got last night but WOW what a game.

It seems they have fixed the bugs from BL1 that really annoyed me about the game

Loving the humour of the game hugely!!, missed Claptrap so good to see him again.

The opening cinematic is rpetty darn excellent if you ask me!  This game is going to keep me going for a long long time.

Going to be playing over Hamachi or Tungle? not sure of the name.. with friends so if anyone prefers to play it that way rather than online let me know & we can get some games going!

Think it was released at midnight, so those keen on it would have been up all night :)

I enjoyed the first game as much as I did play it, but with 2 kids it was hard to find the time... keen on getting BL2 but prob have the same issue :(

They released it in North America early. For poor old NZ copies are only available today.

Xpd I have the first one due in Dec so i'm getting my fix now haha don't see much time for gaming in the future!

Running around with Zero the Sniper/assasian. Combo of up close and personal katana killing & long range you didnt see it coming sniping

One thing of alot of fps is the aim of snipers long range can be very finiky but BL2 is really smooth so enjoying the long range head shots (plus the ai is the usual stand still and shot you). But then if your taking on beasts you will have them in melee range pretty darn quick so your sniper rifle is either usless or you go unscoped which is suprisingly accurate

Will update tomorrow after a good session after work

Had a good play last night up to level 10, then spent over 2 hours trying to connect with friends (PC version) - that is a complete nightmare!

But otherwise loving the game!

Started playing solo with Axton last night got to lvl 6 before calling it a night. I'm quite surprised how beautiful it looked, loving the new colour scheme.

Improvements over BL1 I've noticed so far.

Grenades do considerably more damage than guns. Barely bothered with grenades in the first game as the damage was pitiful.
Automatic item pick up when run over. Now if you need health urgently you can just run over the health vials and unlike the first they seem to be instant.
Turret stays up even if killed and will achieve second wind if it kills an enemy. As Roland in the first one if I used my turret near death it would just be a waste as it would disappear once I was killed.

Will be playing more tonight for sure.

Does it need more GPU than before? What's the Windows Experience Index for Gaming Graphics in your PCs?

Mine is 6.1 GPU, 4.7 total score. If it's ok I will install it...

Mine is 6.9 GPU and 5.1 overall and it runs beautifully on 1080p. I wouldn't imagine you'd have much trouble.

Nice I've got 7.6 for my GPU :)

Still getting some good mileage out of my GTX460

Sorry Gearbox I didn't support your game by pre ordering because your publisher (2k games) is one of the lame ones who jack up the NZ/AU regional price in Steam by $20-30USD compared to US region.

I will be holding a grudge about this and won't buy until a big steal sale on the GOTY edition with all DLC included a year from now gifted from a mate in Canada.

I'm looking for people to play Co-Op with for Borderlands 2... I don't have any friends that play computer games... anyone interested? I am not fussy about which class, they all appeal to me. Right now I am playing as Zero but I can play as anything.

Btw my Windows Experience total is 7.8 Oh yeahhhhhhhh

The graphics on this version are much smoother on the PC, no more screen tearing!

I'll add you, once I receive my game...  hopefully sooner rather than later as it's coming from the UK via nzgameshop.

Thanks urban! In the future try looking around to buy directly from Online stores in other territories as digital download - for example I got my copy from 2K Games Online Store in the UK... the game is digitally delivered / managed by Steam anyways. It's a little loophole where you could buy the game from them using PayPal and they email you the Steam Key and it was substantially cheaper to pre-order... it cost me NZ$60 for example which was $29 less than the the cheapest pre-order I could get here.
