After insisting my wife and daughter would be able to catch up on Masterchef using Ondemand on the PS3, it didn't work.

Is it working for everyone else? It always used to work in the past.

I get as far as selecting the programme I want, then a black window opens with a rotating disc in the centre, and a message at the bottom of the screen saying my video will start after this advert. After 1 - 2 minutes of this I get a error message saying I've been logged out of the Playstation network. At the start there is lots of flickering on the network activity green light on the front of the PS3. Which slowly tails off to nothing.

Router restarted
All the other video services on the PS3 work
Other programmes tried
Updates downloaded
Latest firmware etc etc

I looked at the troubleshooting guide on the TVNZ website but none of their known issues seem to apply here

turb: SS?

Shortland Street. I figured the actual show wasn't that important, the point is it worked.

Had another fiddle with it - What's happening is that it is making my wireless modem/ router reset. I'm no network guru but I'm amazed that something which is essentially a website can do that.

When I try to start watching something, all the lights go out on the modem apart from power. It goes through its self test routine, then when the Internet lamp comes back on, that's when I get "an error has occurred, you have been signed out of the Playstation network".

I've unplugged everything else from the router, and switched off every other wireless device, rebooted the modem, reentered the network settings on the ps3.

It looks like others have had similar issues and have solved them by forcing the ps3 to relook at its network settings. Didn't work for me....
