Yeah I stumbled across this myself through a gaming email i received and would like to say that you can all the games minus Saints Row 3 for $1 USD so for those who have not seen or checked this out the games are

Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts, Company of Heroes Tales of Valor
Red Faction Armageddon
Metro 2033
Darksiders 1

These are for play through Steam however if you donate more than the average donation (around $6 USD) you will also get Saints Row 3. Also most the games come with their soundtracks for download as well.

This is not a scam and is something done every now and then to raise funds for charity eg Games for Kids and Red Cross. You get to choose how much to donate and how to split it between THQ, Charityt and Humble. I have already activated the games in my own Steam account.

Lastly there is only about 10 more days to take advantage of this.

(edited the above as mistakingly put 19 days left when it was 10ish)

Should also mention this is for charity so even though you can pay as little as $1 you really should pay what you can afford because it is for a good cause.

Also note, that if you have one of these games already on Steam, you cannot give away your "spare" copy.... bit of a buggar but the price outweighs that :)

Got mine yesterday, all installed and running with no fuss.

Yeah you're right you can't give away the extra but you can actually buy the whole set as a gift.

I think it's a fantastic thing and a great way to get some games you may not have considered buying full price. I have played through Compamy of Heroes before and had 2 copies of Saints Row 3 on Xbox (still have one of them) but the others I am more than happy to add to my little Steam collection.

Also of note it is a shame to see that the average price is slow low a lot of people obviously paying only a few bucks. Of note though is that all of the top contributors have donated $1000 or more.

Also why I intended to post on GZ about it (but got beaten to it) was to raise awareness not so people could get cheap games but to give to worthy charities the cheap games are a bonus.

Another extra point is that if you do go for the Saints Row 3 option by donating a little more this comes as a separate key so could give it away if you wanted the other 6 titles come as a single code so no option for that but you could do it for Saints Row 3.

Yes, sadly, most people just pay the minimum possible ($1) hence why the average is $5, but the top 10 contributors put in $1000+ (note: most of the top contributors are actually organisations - wargaming.net, RAD Game Tools, Havok, LocalizeDirect).  Usually as it approaches the end though, someone like "Humble Brony" comes in with a $10000+ purchase.  Crowdfunding at its best, really.

Personally I always try to beat the average by at least 25%.

I was excited for a moment, but it's only for Windows. Is this the first Windows-only Humble Bundle?

It's a major publisher offering a one time bundle for charity - and if the games ever become available on other platforms on Steam you'll automatically get them (yay SteamPlay).  I'm certain that Humble Bundle they take what they can get when it's so high profile.

This is the first non-Indie bundle I've seen them do, which is likely why it's the first single-platform.

I paid well over the average to start with and now they're piling on the bonuses, brilliant!
