Ok here is my issue, I have 2 PS3 slims one is in our main lounge connected to a Sony Bravia and the other one is in my sons room connected to a 22” Samsung (1080x1920 HD) both working fine. Now a couple of days ago we have purchased another Sony Bravia (750 series) and thought we would shift the PS3 slim from my sons room to the new TV. In connecting the PS3 via HDMI the new TV is having a problem which is you see the image (XMB) for a spit second then the screen goes back for 3-4 seconds then you see the image again for a split second and then goes to blank screen again this keeps cycling. First reaction is faulty TV so I get the other PS3 slim and hook up to new TV and it is working fine, puzzled took the faulting PS3 to the other Sony Bravia and it is doing the same “pulsing” thing...but if I then take it to my sons room (using the same HDMI cable) it works fine on the Samsung and our Panasonic HD TV upstairsWhat I have tried:- resetting PS3 (on standby press power button until 2nd beep)- Gone through the setup menu on the good PS3 and have set the faulty PS3 to the exactly the same settings This is a weird one and has got be beat......any idea’s anyone?? Cheers Mike
Any idea's anyone, seems very odd. "faulty PS3" works fine on Samsung HD TV and Panasonic HD TV via HDMI BUT does not work on both Sony Bravia TV's. My other PS3 slim works fine on ALL TV's (not HDMI cable and "settings" on both PS3's are identical) What I have tried: - resetting video (hold down power button while in standby until 2nd beep did not fix) - Tried other HDMI inputs on both Sony TV 's...no cigar - Tried "good" Ps3 Slim on all TV 's working fine - Tried "faulty" PS3 Slim on ALL TV's working 100% on Panasonic and Samsung but on the two Sony Bravia's doing the image for 1sec blank screen for 3-4sec then back to pic for 1sec cycle repeats - Rang Sony Playstation support no cigar
As I am in the electronic service industry my thoughts are either the "hand shake" signal OR the "video signal coming from the PS3 Slim is slightly too low causing this effect on the 2 Sony Bravia's so in other words the low signal is not liked where are the Samsung and Panasonic may be still JUST within their specks hense working ok?????
feedback anyone.......someone with HDMI technical experance?
